With so many teams to follow across the board in the New England region, it's difficult to cover them all, let alone cover every player. This team analysis series helps out with just that as we talk about the Mass Huskies 2026 E40 team.

Maddy Lyons - Norwood (2026)

A dual-sport athlete with plenty of traits that go between basketball and volleyball, Lyons has really inserted herself as a versatile piece on the floor, a do-it-all kind of player with a high motor and a great learner on the fly. Able to adjust to really any situation that she's faced with on either side of the ball, Lyons is gritty, aggressive and poised as a player. Great upside and ample room to grow in both maturity and skillset.

Deanna Kolokithas - Canton (2026)

Kolokithas, a rising junior point guard that showed steady improvement during her sophomore season at Canton, is a player we're excited to follow this summer. With the point guard position comes a lot of responsibility of being able to command an offense and run plays, not to mention keeping pace defensively and sticking to different sets. We think that Kolokithas has those traits to be that lockdown point guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='496118' first='Charlotte' last='Theriault'] - Palmer (2026)

One of the highlights of this roster is one of the best players in Massachusetts, hands down. Theriault showed just how good she can be on the floor as a sophomore, dropping 30-point performances with ease. With scoring averages well above 20 PPG, if there's someone who's going to get the job done in the clutch and get an offense going when its struggling, it's Theriault. Truly a game-changing, mind-blowing talent.

Sofiah Wightman-Kraus - Hopkinton (2026)

We're getting into some frontcourt options now on this team with Wightman-Kraus, able to play at the 4 or the 5 on the floor. Pretty versatile player at that to transition between positions, really whatever her team needs of her. Great mobility for a forward and great game vision that will help her get a defensive stop or a quick move to the basket for an easy bucket. There's a bright future ahead of Wightman-Kraus in the frontcourt, no doubt.

Alice Wallerstein - Lincoln-Sudbury (2026)

There seems to be a great correlation between basketball and volleyball, especially when height is included in the mix. We have that situation as a reality with Wallerstein, a multi-sport athlete with great mobility and agility that has helped her become an x-factor in both. We'll be focusing on basketball here with the forward, a great shot-blocker and rim protector, not to mention someone who's shown a strong ability to command the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049681' first='Abby' last='Gametchu-Walker'] - Buckingham Browne & Nichols (2026)

We head back to the backourt to talk about with Gametchu-Walker, an impressive perimeter shooter with plenty to give on the interior. Able to drive into the lane off the pass or off the dribble. Takes advantage of an open lane when she sees it or just tries to get more close-range shots for higher-efficiency looks. Very impressive offensive package and a knack for making defensive plays, a pest for opponents to deal with.

Grace Hanna - Framingham (2026)

Hanna provides a lot on the floor in a plethora of different ways. Despite her size, she features both in the frontcourt and backcourt, but where she's shined the most is on the defensive end. There is no sugar-coating it, Hanna is a steals machine, deflecting passes left-and-right, either coming away with the ball or finding some way to force a turnover. It's been a delight to see her growth in that part of her game, especially so quickly.

Samantha Ryan - Newton Country Day (2026)

Ryan falls into the category of players who will benefit from AAU ball because of playing time and consistent reps. Playing on a team with a lot of standout players, she has the ability to bounce off them, learn from them and come into her own, showing a peek into the dominance that will come during the high school season. High basketball IQ and great court vision. Again, with experience will come production and success.
