DMVlive Day 3 part 2 standouts

DMVlive wrapped up Saturday, and there were some more fantastic performers. Here is part 2 of the players that stood out to me the most.

[player_tooltip player_id='300652' first='Ava' last='Johnson'] had a fantastic game against St. Frances. Her ability to stretch the floor at her size is probably her biggest asset, and she showed that in this game. Ava also did good work inside, finishing with 17 points and 6 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='376324' first='Sanai' last='Green'] was one of the premier talents at DMVlive, and after struggling the first few games, she showed out Vs. St. Frances. She had a couple of tough baskets down the stretch of this game and was able to find her jump shot. Sanai attacked the rim like always and played through physical defense. She finished with 22 points.

Spalding and Potomac played in an offense-filled game that was one of the most fun of the weekend. Spalding got a lot of offense from many people, and Trinity Holloway was one of their biggest contributors. She shot the three exceptionally well and had a great game offensively, Finishing with 20 points. I love what Trinity brings with her effort on defense, and she is a high-IQ player. In Spalding's earlier game of the day, a blowout against St. Andrews, Trinity showed off her tenacious defense and put in 16 points.

Eden Berry had a big game for Spalding against St. Andrews. She drove to the rim effectively and had some tough finishes. Eden finished with an efficient 20 points. In their next game, Eden made a lot of fantastic passes and showed another side to her game with 7 assists.

Whitley Watkins put in two good performances for Spalding. She was solid defensively against St. Andrews and scored efficiently, ending this game with 11 points. Against Potomac School, she lived at the line and used her size well. She went 11/12 at the line and showed off her touch. Whitley already takes some threes now, but FT shooting is always a great indicator of how good a shooter someone can really be.

Vanesa Flood has been one of the best players at this tourney who hasn't entered High School yet. She was solid against St. Andrews, collecting her third straight double-double and facilitating well. Vanesa had another massive game against Potomac School, dominating the glass and living at the line. She finished that game with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Vanesa is a good passer, and her tenacity and energy are always at a 10. She is a good defender and does well rotating over.

The last Spalding player I want to shout out is Danniella Sebastian. Danniella is a great spot-up shooter, and she gave Spalding a massive boost against Potomac. She knocked down five threes and finished with 17 points. Danniella had not shot well the few games before this one, but she came up big in a tight game.

The best performance so far at DMVlive has been [player_tooltip player_id='633711' first='Sabrina' last='Anderson']'s performance against Spalding. Sabrina was unstoppable, scoring from inside and showing off her next-level shooting. Sabrina has out of the gym range and was otherworldly from start to finish. Potomac School did not have the best day outside of Sabrina, especially in the second half, and she almost willed her team to victory. She had 25 first-half points and set a DMVlive record with 44 points. This was one of, if not the best, performance I've seen from anyone in this event's short history.
