DMVlive day 2 standouts part 1

Here is part 1 of the day 2 standouts from DMVlive at Bullis

In the first game of the day, good Counsel beat up on Pallotti. They had a massive first half, and a lot of that was because of Caliyah DeVillasee. Caliyah has always been an extremely talented scorer, but heading into her senior year, she has begun to figure everything out. She is a much more controlled basketball player, which showed against Pallotti. She finished the game with an efficient 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Madison Hall is a fun player to watch and an all-around fantastic prospect. She is a good athlete with great size. She is a versatile scorer and a great catch-and-shoot threat. In Good Counsel's first game, she lit it up from 3 in the first half and was a huge reason they jumped out to such a massive lead. She knocked down 6 threes total and had 20 points. Madison again put on a shooting clinic when she put in 20 points and 6 threes against Spalding in another win. Madison was one of the most impressive players on the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='312081' first='Riley' last='Hamburger'] came up clutch for PVI. Riley's offensive game has steadily improved over the past few years, and she showed it in the game against Friends Central. PVI battled back into this game, and Riley was a massive reason why. She got to the rim and showed off her jump shot, hitting all three threes. She finished with 22 points and 8 rebounds and then had the game-icing layup.

[player_tooltip player_id='579891' first='Demi' last='Gilliam'] does so many things for PVI at a high level. In the first game, she showed off her ability as a passer with 6 assists. Demi's vision is so important and challenging to stop with her height. Demi was outstanding in PVI's second game. She scored well inside and did an excellent job on the boards. She ended the game with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Demi's defense, passing, rebounding, and interior scoring were displayed all day.

Vanesa Flood had a great day in the paint for Spalding. She worked hard on the offensive glass and had some nice finishes. She finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds. What surprised me the most was that Vanesa is a rising freshman. You see a lot of guards dominate who aren't in high school yet, but it's not often you see someone impose their presence in the paint like this before entering high school.

Logyn Greer had another great game against PVI. She was an absolute monster on defense. Even though she only finished with 3 blocks, her length and timing disrupted many PVI shots. Logyn showed her jump shot off again and her ability to put the ball on the floor and finish over people with her long frame. She scored 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Jordan Carey had a great game for Pallotti in their win over St. Andrews.
