As session one of the spring Grassroots season comes to an end, we look to update our rankings for each class in preparation for the summer high school season and the second session of Grassroots basketball. There were many prospects who demonstrated a progression in their game during the high school season and added an exclamation point with a strong Grassroots session this spring. These are the wing prospects who soared up our rankings with notable performances and progress during our evaluations.

Stock Risers

[player_tooltip player_id='423693' first='Camryn' last='VandenBosch']-6-1-[program_tooltip program_id='713442' first='MBA' last='UAA']-Holland Christian

Camryn is an elite prospect who solidified herself in our eyes as the number one wing in Michigan because of her dominant play against elite opponents this spring and during the high school season. She has earned multiple D1 offers and her combination of strength, height, and scoring abilities led us to list her at the top. Camryn has proven herself by producing in games against opposing D1 prospects this spring. She is an efficient 3-pointer shooter with a burst off the dribble to beat her defender and finish strong in the paint. Camryn attacks downhill with a variety of combo-dribbles and her athleticism/fundamental skills make her Michigan's best wing prospect.

Read more about Camryn

[player_tooltip player_id='423694' first='Avery' last='Lay']-6-1-[program_tooltip program_id='713024' first='Michigan' last='Drive Premier']-S40-Chelsea

Avery has had an outstanding spring session on the travel circuit after dominating the high school scene last winter. Her height, strength, athleticism, impact on both ends, and offensive scoring abilities put her on another level as a prospect. Avery has earned multiple D1 offers this spring with her high level of play. She has the ball-handling tools to attack defenders and score off the dribble, but also has the accuracy to hit 3's on the perimeter. Avery has also impressed our scouts with her defense and rebounding. She has shown a relentless motor to block shots and outwork opponents for rebounds on both ends. Avery scores in the paint off two feet and has not hit her ceiling yet. She has earned her higher ranking by consistently excelling on both ends of the court against elite competition.

Read more about Avery

[player_tooltip player_id='716698' first='Pria' last='Johnson']-5-10-Michigan Crossover-DEPSA

Pria demonstrated her ability to take over games on both sides of the ball against college-level prospects and that's exactly why we felt confident moving her to a high ranking on our list. Pria competes with a high motor and creates matchup problems for the other team because she is stronger than guards, but too quick for forwards. She is a fierce rim protector, but understands how to establish great defensive positioning and wall up to force misses without fouling. Pria elevates with powerful finishes off two feet in the paint and attacks downhill using a variety of combo dribbles. She is a versatile prospect who we think should be receiving a great amount of next-level attention.

Read more about Pria

New Additions

[player_tooltip player_id='918911' first='Savina' last='Anhalt']-6-1-[program_tooltip program_id='713024' first='Michigan' last='Drive Premier']-Vieau-Frankfort

If you attended the 2024 semifinals at MSU earlier this spring then you probably noticed this tall and lengthy wing competing for Frankfort. Savina has the accuracy as a shooter to hurt opposing teams from beyond the arc, but she also beats defenders off the dribble to score on drives. Savina blocks shots and has good footwork to score in contested situations. She has the height and skill to be a next-level basketball prospect.

Read more about Savina

[player_tooltip player_id='918917' first='Alanna' last='Neves']-5-7-Lady FVV-UPREP

Alanna set the tone for toughness this spring and impacted the game on both ends, which inevitably caught our attention and earned her recognition in our rankings. Alanna is strong enough to compete inside against forwards and has the shooting range to score from the perimeter. She pursues the ball off the glass with tremendous effort and finishes strong in the paint. Alanna is a prospect who can help schools at the next level.

Read more about Alanna
