On May 31st and June 1st, the Lady X Tournament took place on the campus of Grand Canyon University. This event had multiple state championship teams from the 2024 season. It also had multiple players with college offers from all levels.

Here I look at some of the standouts from the event:

[player_tooltip player_id='590992' first='Destiny' last='Lunan'] Millennium (Featured Image)

The most outstanding player of the weekend, Lunan had the full offensive package on display. She easily beat defenders off the dribbles while scoring from all three levels. She also showed she could lock the opposing team's best players on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='588731' first='Irene' last='Noelle Guiamatsia'] Xavier College Prep

Bofia controlled the paint on both ends. On offense, she was double-teamed often but still shot the ball efficiently. She also rebounded at a high rate and blocked many shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='751754' first='Dashia' last='Richardson'] Millennium

The soon-to-be sophomore showed that her game steadily improved. She handled the ball well as usual but also showed more of an offensive game than in the past. She used her strength to get to the lane and showed off her jump shot range.

[player_tooltip player_id='339058' first='Lucy' last='Sanford'] Xavier College Prep

Sanford looks to take over much of the ball-handling duties for the Gators moving forward. She did an excellent job keeping the perimeter and post players active with the ball. She also shot the ball well from three as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='530989' first='Tysyn' last='Johnson'] Valley Vista

Johnson was more than a handful for defenses over the weekend. Her ability to break presses and get into the teeth of the defense was impressive. She also showed an uncanny ability to finish around the rim despite most times being the smallest person on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='608450' first='Jaila' last='Flowers'] Canyon View

Flowers continues to impress after coming off an injury last year. She showed off her relentless motor and ability to finish around the rim. Her quick first step enabled her to get by the defenders. She also showed off a very nice touch from the mid-range.
