June 14th-15th I attended the annual Section-7 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. I watched as many Arizona teams as I could over the two days, as there were around 40 teams who represented the prestigious event.

Here were some of the guards and wings I watched in the junior class

[player_tooltip player_id='640876' first='Madison' last='A. Garner'] Basha

A physical downhill point guard seems to always be in the right spots. She has a high IQ and calls out plays. She is strong to get to the basket and will hit the three off the catch. She should have a big year if she can get eligible immediately.

[player_tooltip player_id='808288' first='Rylee' last='Fraley-Gonzales'] Pinnacle

A pure point is a needle threader who will score. She will pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and hit the catch three. She has a nice handle and good court speed and a big IQ. She is also tough on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='481475' first='Averi' last='Mehlberg'] Chandler (Pictured)

A scoring guard with great size. She gives hard ball fakes into her left hand for layups. She handles it well and can go coast to coast. She will pull up off the dribble and is crafty to get her shot off. She is a very good three point shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='530989' first='Tysyn' last='Johnson'] Valley Vista

An undersized point guard can hit the catch three in bunches. She is very fast in the open court and is tough on the ball defensively. She is a one man press break with her speed and will use the floater game.

[player_tooltip player_id='489170' first='Brooke' last='Nowak'] Notre Dame Prep

One of the prettier three point shooters in the class. She can handle it in a pinch, post up and has a quick spin move. She shoots it best off the catch but is just as effective off the pull with a quick release. She will also get on the floor and hustle for loose balls and is a better passer than you realize.

[player_tooltip player_id='603672' first='Audrey' last='Bhesania'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A bigger point forward can create her own offense and make plays for her teammates. She scores with pull-ups, threes and ball hand offs and gets downhill. She is a quick second jumper to go back up to score and really sees the court well.

[player_tooltip player_id='780451' first='Novelle' last='McQuiston'] Perry

A high IQ pass first wing forward is tough and skilled with a huge IQ. She will box out and then corral the board and push the rock up the court. She will hit the three and then hesitate and drive the lane and score with euros, put backs and step backs. Her feel is higher than most in the state and picked up an offer from GCU.
