Summer School Ball Check-In’s: Lebanon Blue Devils

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I spoke to Lebanon coach Cory Barrett, and he gave me a great assessment of his ball club so far this summer. This was written late Tuesday night, June 4th.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lebanon is 4-0 in varsity so far beating Riverdale, Cleveland, Smith County, and Ezell Harding. She's reportedly been shooting the lights out. She's done a tremendous job adding layers to her offensive game making her extremely diverse, and turning herself into a legit 3 level scorer. Her physical attributes are off the charts. Extremely strong. Agile. And a gritty competitor. She's learning to how play the wing more effectively, and Coach Barrett told me she "has it dialed from midrange and knocking down the three." If she continues to improve her game the way I believe she will, she gives them another legitimate offensive threat. She's following up a great spring with a nice start to summer ball by, as Coach Barrett put it, "dominating the paint at various times in every game." She's always been an extremely high level shot blocker and rebounder, with nice touch from mid range. Playing both JV and Varsity she is improving every game with intentional rebounding and a left hand baby hook. Here was Coach Barrett's assessment: "Altering shots around the rim affords us the ability to put tons of pressure on the perimeter and funnel them to her."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
