Summer Hoops Radar Watch: Class of 2027 PFs and Centers

In her junior season at Boyd Christian School, her high ceiling as a player was showcased.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An area Kesey is elite in as a player is her ability to score from the free-throw line and inside. She loves to work out of the high post and low post on offense. In these situations, her lightning-fast and fluid footwork stands out. She can get around defenders and get them off balance with an array of post moves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the space Kesey opens up in the post, she is more than comfortable hitting a floater or scoring with her non-dominant left hand. Kesey is also an extremely good fall-away shooter out of the post. She is good at both generating steals on the perimeter and blocks on the interior. Offensively, one area of her game that stands out is her capable perimeter shooting.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Collins can score effectively in the paint. Her 3-point shot showed up at limited times in her junior year. However, when she did shoot from deep, her shot held real promise. She reads the defense well from the paint. Her ability to read the defense helps her be a good help-side defender. This helps lead to many of her shot blocks. Most high school players at her height struggle with the following trait. DeBord can pass out of the high post, get open shots with her footwork in the post, and can hit 3-pointers. She can do all of the following at a high level. Her versatile game allows her to contribute to winning even if her shot does not fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>DeBord also has a mid-range jumper in the game. Her high relase point on her shot makes her near impossible to guard at times, especially out of the high post. Allowing her to do this are her long arms and foot speed at 6'7".</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tchanga has also showcased a solid interior scoring game. She has a good drop step in her game that allows her to score down low. Also, she can score through traffic if given the ball by the low block.
