[player_tooltip player_id='582833' first='Paige' last='Rummans'] of Saydel High School may be competing with Illinois State on the softball diamond following this next year but that doesn't change the fact that she is going to put up some noteworthy numbers this next season while playing on the basketball court. Last year Rummans had a contest where she scored over 40 points once, 30 points a few times, and almost over 20 every game. Not to mention, she also recorded wild numbers in the rebounding category during some contests. With the competition level they compete at and her mixture of size/athletic ability, she should put together a repeat season from a year ago and help her team to an overall successful 2024-2025 high school basketball season.

Bettendorf is going to surprise a lot of team's this upcoming season because of their playmakers at the guard positions in [player_tooltip player_id='612984' first='Alyvia' last='McCorkle'] and [player_tooltip player_id='643486' first='Jhaliana' last='Guy'] but because they will need so much attention, the others around them should EAT and one of those prospects will be SG, [player_tooltip player_id='842677' first='Alivia' last='Carr']. Carr is a 5'8 player, that isn't afraid to play outside-to-in. She is someone that can take her defender off of the dribble and score on them in the post with her wherewithal or she can step up and knock down a standstill jumper every once and awhile. The Bulldogs are going to have a run over this next 3-4 years where they start to slowly dominate the state for their Class and Carr will be an important part of that run starting this upcoming season.

There is a lot of upside to [player_tooltip player_id='794878' first='Asia' last='Beale'] and her play style. When Beale has to take over for whatever reason and she has the green light, she can be special. She does a good job of making solid choices on both sides of the ball and when her offense is flowing, she can be scary to deal with. I have had a chance to see her in two different events this Spring season and she has been someone that could be a piece for some D3 program at the next level if given an opportunity. She is dedicated enough to getting better in her off-season that over the period of 2-4 years, she could put together being a main producer consistently wherever she is. This Fall with her Prairie team, she will get a chance to show off what she can really do for the first time on the Varsity floor. If she can play her game, her team is going to look very tough to beat and her recruitment will continue to rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='342193' first='Isabella' last='Borgos'] is one of the state's most equipped Shooting Guards. Borgos really lights it up during the high school season with her West Marshall team, putting together some eye-opening highlights these past few seasons at the Varsity level. On the AAU season, Borgos does a good job of being efficient in her shooting and scoring aspects of the game. She understands that she is going to get less shots and touches because of the time of the contest as a whole, as well as that she has more skilled prospects around her trying to show off their ability at the same time and she still does a great job of standing out as being a viable scoring option at all times. This season at West Marshall, she will have a chance to put together one of the best statistical seasons throughout the state. She just needs to work on getting her team some wins at the same time and I'm sure she will be satisfied with those results in the end.

With the turnover that Valley High School could have going into this upcoming season, there is going to be a lot of chance for opportunity. Someone at the guard position, who should get some Varsity minutes throughout their season is [player_tooltip player_id='311397' first='Addy' last='Adams']. Adams is someone that really hasn't gotten the biggest chance as of yet but hopefully this year she can see the floor more and more as they get close to the post season. Adams comes in at #58 in this Update, she has an act for being great at making the extra pass within her team's offense, and she can rack up a bunch of stats in a short amount of time, quietly. At the end of a game, you'll never think about it but she will end as a leader scorer, rebounding, and assist leader for her team because she keeps it simple and I can't wait for her to have a chance to show that off for her Senior season.
