[player_tooltip player_id='764243' first='Brooke' last='Maupin'] (Texas Lonestar 16U 3SSB) seems to find ways to impress me starting with the PGH Freshman Showcase last season and nothing has changed as she helped open up my coverage for the Super 64. I love seeing players in different settings, and this is why I highly recommend attending Individual Showcases that I'm covering but here are some other players from the 2027 class who caught my eye on Day 1.

Kenley Vest-5'4 G (Argyle) Texas Lonestar 16U 3SSB (2027)

Vest is heady and ready for whatever and she falls into that #sizedontmatter group I love to hashtag because she can play. She handled the ball under pressure yet just as importantly, she saw the floor while being defended. She also created her shot to score off the dribble, deceptive first step helped, as well as drop the jumper, "catch and shoot" looked good

Style Brazille-5'10 SG ( ) Texas Lonestar 16U 3SSB (2028)

Brazille has the right name because her style of play is going to attract some next-level attention starting with she's a couple of inches shy of "the magic number" which is 6'0 and over the years, I have developed several formulas that work and when you factor in she can drop the jumper in the set as well as off the dribble using the pull-up, all I can say is "college coaches love big guards that can shoot"

[player_tooltip player_id='935780' first='Jada' last='Weaver']-5'9 SG ( ) [program_tooltip program_id='715917' first='Texas' last='Flyte'] Elite (2028)

Weaver grabbed my attention, as well as my colleagues playing on the PGH Circuit as her ability to change the momentum of a game, both offensively and defensively will not only get better but raise several next-level eyebrows. She's a "long and athletic" guard who applies "on the ball" pressure from baseline to baseline. She also plays the passing lane and handles the ball afterward yet her court vision in transition is nice, she also dishes or scores off the dribble

[player_tooltip player_id='948721' first='Cynia' last='Jackson']-5'7 CG (Mansfield Legacy) Team Moriah Jefferson 16U 3SSB (2027)

Jackson impressed me so much that she was added to the PGH Watchlist on my next update. See evaluation here

[player_tooltip player_id='1068033' first='Angel' last='Lynch']-5'8 G (Skyline) Team Moriah Jefferson 15U 3SSB (2027)

Lynch is a "long and athletic" guard, I failed to mention that was the base earlier yet her scoring off the dribble and finishing after contact was nice. She also showed the FLOATA yet her defensive pressure was also solid

[player_tooltip player_id='944711' first='Journee' last='Hodges']-5'8 SG (Red Oak) Team Moriah Jefferson 15U 3SSB (2027)

Hodges brought it early on opening day and kept it going enough to be added to the WATCHLIST yet watch as I list her intangibles starting with her being a "long and athletic" guard, yeah that's still the base but her body control after contact on her finishes is already next level ready. She has some nice moves to by the defender, she also showed she could drop the jumper while being defended

[player_tooltip player_id='1199180' first='Kierstyn' last='Totten']-5'10 SF (Red Oak) Team Moriah Jefferson 15U 3SSB (2027)

Totten went AFTA the ball off the rim relentlessly and one thing I love is things you can't teach. Not only does she not mind BATTLING for everything, loose balls included, but she showed she could defend inside the paint. She also did a good job scoring around the basket, after contact included

Addison Treppa-5'6 SG (Glen Rose) [program_tooltip program_id='715076' first='DFW' last='Hawks'] 2027 Elite (2027)

Treppa plays under control and does a good job of setting the defender up to score off the dribble to score, with either hand yet she also grabbed rebounds and went coast to coast to score or hit teammates, yes her court vision is solid across the board. She also created her shot under pressure and showed she could drop the jumper, her "catch and shoot" was also nice
