Coach Al’s Notebook- Morgan State Team Camp

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The staff of Morgan State ran an excellent team camp and had 2 courts running side by side for two days of action. I caught the second day and came away impressed with the following hoopers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nickole Lee, Gladiators (Greater Grace School), 2025 Guard</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Athletic guard with a quick first step and decent handle. She had a lot of success getting into the paint in the games I watched. She was able to get some buckets and dish off to her teammates when she drew help defenders. She plays at a deliberate pace which lulls defenders to sleep and then she pounces with a burst to the basket. She has good hands and finished pretty well in the game I watched. She brough good effort on defense and boxed out when shots went up. She knows how to establish deep post position and when she gets the ball, she's almost impossible to stop from scoring. She rebounds at a high level and throws accurate outlet passes that ignite the fast break. She's explosive and able to get all the way to the rim where she finishes at a high level. She has a nice mid-range shot and delivers accurate passes to her teammates even while under heavy pressure. She's tough and applies heavy ball pressure because she has excellent speed and footwork. She's a feisty competitor and plays bigger than her size.
