Captain Conan has been knee-deep in rankings updates for Prep Network, but he spent the weekend sharpening his research sword and discovered five Kansas basketball prospects in need of coverage.

Three of these athletes are special dual-sport talents while the other two prospects are basketball first athletes.

Each prospect is currently ranked by Prep Girls Hoops, and has been featured just once, or not at all in the past six months.

[player_tooltip player_id='350247' first='Emma' last='Sales'], 5'10”, SG, Olathe West, ‘25

Sales is currently ranked No. 7 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas. She is way overdue for some coverage. She is a two-sport prospect currently ranked No. 74 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. Her volleyball stats are available to the public, but her basketball stats are not. She finished with 371 assists and 138 kills for the Owls during her junior season. I watched some dated film from her HUDL account. Sales can create her shot or post up in her favorite spot for a three-point attempt. She plays club ball with Missouri Phenom.

[player_tooltip player_id='616731' first='Sydney' last='Buscher'], 6'0”, SF, Spring Hill, ‘25

Another volleyball prospect who has not recently been featured on Prep Girls Hoops is Spring Hill's Buscher. Buscher is currently ranked No. 25 overall by Prep Girls Hoops. She is also ranked No. 34 by Prep Dig and has committed to playing volleyball for Division II Washburn University. I have seen Buscher play volleyball and her natural athletic ability is obvious. She is a hustle player and played unselfish basketball for the Broncos.

[player_tooltip player_id='544056' first='Landri' last='Schaffer'], 5'10”, CG, Gardner-Edgerton, ‘26

Schaffer is currently ranked No. 3 in the class of 2026 rankings. She is a three-level scorer who averaged 18.8 points per game as a sophomore. She works hard to be a factor on both ends of the floor. She grabbed 5.6 rebounds per game for the Blazers as a sophomore and created 3.5 steals per contest. Schaffer has an offer from Bradley University in her pocket. She also plays with Missouri Phenom and has a bright future.

[player_tooltip player_id='649148' first='Kaylee' last='Brunton'], 5'11”, PF, Maize South, ‘26

Brunton has not seen any recent coverage and I am sure that's partly due to a lack of public information on her. The Maverick prospect's HUDL account is dated and Maize South's stats are not on MaxPreps. Almost all of the film on her is from the defensive end of the floor, which is evidence of her commitment to impacting the game on defense. She has quick feet and quick hands. She can create a ton of turnovers with her defensive prowess. Brunton is currently ranked No. 37 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='932928' first='Gracie' last='Bruna'], 5'6”, SG, Hanover, ‘27

Bruna is a young dual-sport prospect for the Hanover Wildcats. As a freshman, she averaged four points, and two-plus rebounds per game. In 25 games played she averaged more than one assist and steal per contest. She is currently ranked No. 52 in the class of 2027 by Prep Girls Hoops. On the volleyball court, she recorded a 543 dig season and finished with 235 kills in 89 varsity sets. Prep Dig Kansas has Bruna ranked No. 52 in the class of 2027.
