I always enjoy watching players work hard for what they love. Players were bringing it as it was their last Live Period summer event. These six players caught my attention and had me taking notes on my phone. Scrappy guard on defense that will get on the floor to win a 50'50 possession. Aubree got hot from outside knocking down 4 from deep. Note: Unofficial record. As the game progressed she also showed some nice footwork when attacking the rim. Sliding between defender squeezing through gap to appear at the rim. Showed nice vision as not to force the issue by kicking the ball out to the shooter for the open shot. A tall guard that can almost play any position on the floor. A 3 point shooter that you must fine cause if her feet as set it is a high percentage shot. A big advantage with her ball handling skills and height made it easy to find the open girls against the zone press. Nice job of reading the second level defense making the correct passes to open teammates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I know my friend in Texas covered her as well. I always say tag me and I will watch. So I wanted to honor that statement. A small forward that did just little bit of everything Saturday in her team's win. Knocked down the 15 ft jumper. Moved without the ball cutting backdoor with hands ready for the finish. A aggressive rebounder that keeps it alive never giving up on the play. Showed a nice skill set bringing a little bit of everything to the table. Good hands on the catch on the low block giving a great target to pass to. Good handles against the press to go with her height helped pass over the press. The 3 point shot had nice mechanics so doing some research she can knock down the those shots. Impressive shot blocker on the help rotation. Smart basketball player that nice vision on the backside making several passes leading to easy baskets. Nice cuts on the backside with hands ready for the catch and put in. Crashed the boards on offensive ends keeping the possession alive several times</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was great to see her on the floor after dealing with some set backs the past few summers.
