Run for the Roses brought college coaches and teams from far and wide to fill their mind-boggling 90-court exposition center from July 11-15th. The number of courts under one roof and foot traffic was certainly a site to see. My favorite part of the trip was finding familiar Michigan and PGH Circuit teams who competed against teams different from the ones I traditionally see them play.

Gracie had a great day at R4TR for Michigan Drive Express 2025. She changed speeds off the dribble and combined a pause with a crossover dribble to burst by her defender and finish a contested floater off two. Gracie buried multiple 3s, split defenders off the bounce to earn free throws, knocked them down, and handled the ball well under pressure. She communicated on defense, used a sweet double crossover move in overtime to score a contested layup, and hit a clutch 3 from the wing. Gracie should be receiving some serious looks from schools at the next level.

Jocelyn has been one of the most complete prospects to watch compete during the travel season and is the type of player every coach wants to have on their team. She drove baseline with her eyes up to make a great bounce pass to the opposite corner and buried a straightaway 3. Jocelyn scored off two using a low rip sweep to beat her defender and outworked her opponent to earn an offensive rebound put back. Jocelyn nailed another wing 3, finished a full-speed layup off the catch off a BLOB through contact, and hit 3 straight free throws after a technical. Jocelyn is a prospect who I have enjoyed seeing compete with the Naturals and had a great day at R4TR.

Moriyah grabbed my attention with her high motor, athleticism, strength, and effort for the Goonies at R4TR. She stole the ball away on defense for a layup, beat her defender for a back-cut layup off two feet, and drove hard baseline to draw a foul. Moriyah worked for offensive rebounds, caused deflections on defense, showed quickness, and demonstrated competitiveness that screams next-level prospect.

Averi led the charge for Always 100 [program_tooltip program_id='715924' first='Michigan' last='Anarchy'] 2025 at R4TR, creating offense with her defensive pressure, scoring at the rim, and hitting shots outside. Averi pressured opposing ball handlers and swiped the ball away multiple times. She used a double crossover move to beat her defender to the rim for a layup and scored another contested finish off the dribble. Averi showed her shooting range by knocking down a wing 3 and is a lead guard who has proven why she has received offers to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1002340' first='Ava' last='Ruster'] was the primary lead guard for CCE 2025 at R4TR and handled the ball well under pressure. Ava kept her eyes up in transition and delivered accurate passes with both hands. She drove to score a left layup off two, knocked down a free throw, and drilled a corner 3. Ava stole the ball away and finished a full-speed left layup off two in transition. She showed her determination to win by hitting the deck to rip the ball away for a steal late in the game. Ava is a scrappy lead guard who I hope to see competing for a school at the next level after high school.
