My third season covering AAU has ended, and it's time to start recapping everything that went down. However, before we start doing that, we have to talk about the final live period in Chicago, so let's get started.

Watching Mannetter in space is something to behold. She's talented at getting downhill and finishing at the rim. However, I loved her decision-making when she got into the paint. She never forced anything or tried to throw passes that didn't have any window. Mannetter's game is mature, and that ability to read the game will allow her to be productive the second she starts playing at Westosha Central this high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='880796' first='Kinsley' last='Ketterhagen']

The knocks affecting Ketterhagen were enough reason for her to sit out. Not only did Ketterhagen play, but she was also aggressive the second she stepped on the floor in Chicago. Beyond her skillset and athleticism, Ketterhagen showed the kind of competitor she was when she wasn't at 100% and routinely attacked some of the best defenders in Bluestar this summer. I'm sure she felt she could've played better, but I learned more about her this weekend than any other one I've seen her play.

[player_tooltip player_id='995775' first='Maren' last='Schmotzer']

The athleticism at 6-2 will play at the next level for Schmotzer at whichever level she decides to play at. I loved her motor around the rim and her willingness to put the ball on the floor and start transition offense, which you don't see from a 6-2 post player. There are unique athletic tools that Schmotzer has that most D1 players don't have. I hadn't watched her for a while, but I was impressed by her ability to use her athleticism to make things happen in transition. I liked seeing her try things we don't see her do at the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id='877420' first='Tatiyana' last='Edwards']

I first saw Edwards in April, which feels like four years ago, but I'm always impressed at how well Edwards can get into the paint and finish in traffic. She's relentless in getting paint points, and she does it without being an overly tall kid. Edwards is undersized for being a kid who does their best work in the paint, but I can't argue with the results that I saw from her this spring and summer. There is something in her game that makes things work, and I'm eager to see what she can do at the high school level this winter.
