Underclassmen Prevail at GVSU Team Camp

She was poised to get her teammates where they needed to be. She has impressive ball-handling skills and can make the right pass, especially in transition. At the GVSU team camp, she demonstrated her strong work ethic by running the floor aggressively and making difficult finishes, including an impressive and-1 play. She was a vocal leader on the court and made some impactful blocks. Her aggressive presence on the offensive boards led to numerous extra scoring opportunities for her team. Furthermore, she has honed a formidable mid-range jumper, solidifying her status as a complete offensive threat. She works hard the entire length of the court on the defensive end. She connected on multiple 3's on the day at a high percentage. She is a complete player on both ends of the floor for her Regina team. She had multiple steals that she took coast to coast. Her hesitation dribble gets her past her defenders with ease and she can create for herself and her teammates. The highlight of the day for Emersen had to be the huge step-back 3 from the top of the key as the buzzer sounded. She split defenders and finished with a nice floater and could knock down the outside shot. She was a feisty on-ball defender.
