Emersen had a huge two days for Regina at BCAM, and she delivered a knockout punch at the PGH Michigan College Tour IV for Mystics 17U. Her performance helped the team win the Championship and resulted in an offer from Davenport University. Emersen applied relentless pressure on opposing guards, generated steals, and capitalized by scoring layups with her right and left. One highlight play happened when she swiped the ball away up top on the defensive end, pushed it with her left all the way to the rim, barrelled through a defender with a strong shoulder, then finished with a strong and-one layup off the glass. Emersen made defenses pay for giving her space by knocking down many threes from beyond the college line. She penetrated off the dribble and effectively distributed crisp passes to open teammates for assists. Emersen chased down offensive rebounds and was a two-way playmaker throughout the day. She received recognition as an All-Tournament First Team selection.

The Holder sisters were an electric backcourt tandem at BCAM Reaching Higher. Emersen played with a mamba mentality on the court. She slashed to the hoop and ripped the nets with deadly precision from the outside. Emersen created space to drive using shifty crossovers, scored a crafty finish, side-stepped a defender in the lane for another high percentage bucket, swished a silky smooth step-back three, and drained a straightaway three. That was a snapshot from one game Saturday and on Sunday Emersen went berserk. In the first half she hit a wing three, corner three off the dribble, another wing three, and a corner three to close out the half. Her scrappy pressure and quick hands poked the ball out for steals in the press. Emersen added two more corner threes and I think everybody had wide eyes on the college sideline. The Holder sisters were on fire for Regina and Emersen consistently competed at her best throughout the weekend. She seized the moment under the spotlight.

Emersen put together an impressive performance at the Davenport Elite Camp and consistently stood out throughout the day. She excelled during the skill sessions, showcasing advanced ball-handling ability and complete control with the ball in her hands. Once live play began, Emersen proved she could score in a variety of ways, attacking the basket, knocking down pull-up jumpers, and connecting from beyond the arc. Her feel for the game was evident throughout the 5v5 action, as she made smart decisions and consistently put herself in position to make plays. Emersen also displayed strong leadership qualities, communicating well with teammates and helping direct action on the floor. In transition, she delivered several impressive passes that led to easy scoring opportunities. Her combination of skill, basketball IQ, and all-around offensive game made her one of the more impressive young guards in attendance.

Emersen, a guard for Mystics 16U P24, had a good day Saturday at the MI College Tour Northwood, showcasing her high-level understanding of the game and steady impact on both ends of the floor. She’s a smart, vocal presence who communicates well and consistently puts herself in the right spots defensively, making her a tough matchup with her ability to disrupt opposing guards. On the offensive end, Emersen showed she can stretch the floor, knocking down perimeter shots, including a four three-pointer performance in one game. Her combination of basketball IQ, defensive intensity, and scoring touch makes her a valuable piece on the court.

Emersen guided Regina to its most successful season in decades, averaging 21 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 4.1 steals per game. She’s a sniper from three-point range, has an impressive variety of crossover combo dribbles at her disposal, sees the floor, has an explosive downhill burst, and is scrappy on the defensive end.

Emersen, a sophomore guard for Warren Regina, has played a major role in her team’s strong 15–5 campaign, impacting the game in just about every category. A true all-around contributor, she consistently fills the box score with her production on both ends of the floor. She’s capable of heating up quickly from long range, stretching defenses with her perimeter shooting. With confident ball control and the ability to break down defenders, Emersen also creates quality looks for her teammates with smart, timely passes. Defensively, she takes pride in shutting down her matchup, bringing intensity and discipline, and she rebounds exceptionally well for a guard. Her versatility and steady presence have been key to Warren Regina’s success this season.

Emersen makes scoring look effortless when she’s in the zone. I saw her swish three-pointers at will during a pre-season Mystics open gym and she’s unleashed her full arsenal to start the season. Emersen has the ball on a string and creates separation with explosive dribble combinations. She won Detroit Free Press Player of the Week and has Regina off to a 5-0 start.

Emersen was voted B-Dubs/Freep Girls Athlete POTW after a huge first week for Regina. She came out soaring with a stat-stuffing 34 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and four steals against Clarkston Everest in the opener. Emersen followed with 25 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and three assists vs. Ann Arbor Pioneer. Week two was just as impressive for the sophomore. On Monday, Emersen turned in another complete performance with 23 points, seven assists, six steals, and six rebounds during a 67-29 win at Marian. The next day, Emersen produced a quadruple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals during a 78-27 win vs. Cranbrook Kingswood. She ended the week with 21 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals in a 59-49 win vs. Divine Child on Friday. Regina is 5-0 and has scored at least 56 points in every game.

Holder is a great combo guard with a very versatile skill set for this Saddlelites squad. Her energy on the defensive end is infectious by picking up full court and using her quick feet to force a steal. On the offensive end, she creates great separation from defenders with a shifty combo move for a quick release three or pull up jumper. She attacks the rim from all angles with a purpose and has great footwork and touch around rim. If the defense collapses, she’s ready to find the next best shot.

Emersen earned All-Catholic honors for Warren Regina as a freshman and is a top 20 prospect in her class. She showed exactly why during a huge game on Monday. Emersen is electric with the ball in her hands. She makes defenders dizzy by changing directions and speeds. Her sudden crossovers, jab steps, behind-the-back dribbles, between-the-legs, and hesitations are fun to watch. Emersen took a steal the other way with pace, landed with a jump stop-fake, let the defender fly by, then finished her layup. She chased down offensive rebounds, dropped in floaters, and drained multiple three-pointers off the catch and the bounce. Emersen was The Compound Player of the Game and led Regina with 23 points.
