[player_tooltip player_id='967273' first='Tiffany' last='Burns'] comes in as the #1 point guard in the class. One of the most fun guards to watch, regardless of the class. The 5'9 point is an energetic, high-powered playmaking machine with one of the smoothest games in New England. Burns has full control of her crafty handle. She's able to deceptively manipulate the defense with her extraordinary combo moves. Tiffany is a threat from all 3 levels and her playmaking ability constantly applies pressure to the defense. Stick Burns anywhere on the court and she will be a threat. Defenders have a tough time covering her because of the combination of finesse and power while playing side to side or going downhill. Tiffany is also an active defender. She takes head up matchups personally. Quick hands and the competitive nature make her solid on the defensive side. Austin Prep has an awesome duo at the point guard and big positions this year. They will be one team to surely watch this season, especially with a star like Burns running the show.

[player_tooltip player_id='351875' first='Alannah' last='Morantus'] | 5'10 PG | Cushing

Morantus has some of the highest upside in the entire class. By the end of the year, it wouldn't be surprising if Alannah had national recognition. She is a long and athletic point that has a complete game. Alannah is gifted as an on-ball creator, an off-ball shooter, a pick & roll wizard, half court facilitation and getting out in transition. Currently playing with the 17u Shooting Touch team, Morantus has been sharpening her skills with players 2-3 years older than her. She is solidified on both ends of the floor. The long wingspan allows her to close the gap faster than most at her position. Her lateral speed and hip turning ability make her an even more avid defender. As stated earlier, Morantus could very well be a national level talent after a big season this year. She already has a couple big time offers and will surely have many more following.

[player_tooltip player_id='967279' first='Gyselle' last='Mairs'] (2027) | 5'5 PG | Portsmouth

The Portsmouth young star is coming as one of the best points in Rhode Island. Mairs offers dominate shooting, dynamic attacks, crazy assists and a competitive mindset along with consistent play at the point. Gyselle loves to push the pace and put points on the board. Her attacking nature usually has defenders on their heels all game. She is capable of putting up a ton of points in a quick burst. If she finds open lanes, she will make the defense collapse and she's easily capable of making any pass on the floor. Mairs plays with a certain level of swagger on the floor that is just eye-catching. She has beautiful moves while poetically using her timing along with her smooth handle to get where she wants on the floor. Her speedy burst helps her on the defensive side of the ball too. She can keep up with just about anybody in front her while in a low shuffling stance. Overall, Gyselle is a tremendous talent looking to add to put more on notice this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='352996' first='Iyanna' last='Hodge'] (2027) | 5'4 PG | WMA

Iyanna is an excellent 2-way talent at the point guard position. Just as skilled she is as a playmaker; she is just as good as a defender. The rising sophomore is fresh off a Class C NEPSAC champion. The Springfield, MA native brings that fiery intensity and packages that into a bulldog spirit on court. Hodges talent will make any team better. She makes plays for others offensively, agitates ballhandlers, is a help & recover defender and is constantly in the right position to help create turnovers. Hodge can push the pace in transition, but also can pull it back to be able to run the offensive. Iyanna makes it her job to feed whoever is hot and knows how to control the tempo of the game. Hodge is a point guard that many would love to have on their team. She's a team player and highly competitive. A player that her teammates love to go to war with. This year can be a statement year and Hodge can capitalize off the success of last year.

Hannah is a high energy point guard that has her imprint all over each game she plays. No matter where she's at on the floor, Murphy brings high intensity that is infectious for her teammates. She can rally the troops with her team first attitude while keeping the defense in a constant state of duress because of her ability to pounce at any time. She makes the right plays and rarely forces opportunities. Turnovers are kept to a minimum, something that is rare to find with a such a high usage player. She can hit outside shots in a variety of fashions, she is an excellent penetrator and also dumps of assists when she gets through the defense. As a defender, Murphy is one of the better ones in her class. She loves to get after it and her hustle is unmatched. Murphy is rated #5 for a reason, she's one of the dependable players at the point guard position.
