The AAU season has come to a close, but we're still here to analyze and talk about some of the best prospects in New England. We head over to Mass Rivals and Lady Rivals, a top-end program in the region that put out some incredible teams to watch this spring and summer. This article talks about the 16U 3SSB team, full of Class of 2027 and 2026 superstar talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='967273' first='Tiffany' last='Burns'] - Austin Prep (2027)

Burns is the No. 2 ranked player in our latest Class of 2027 rankings in New England and she's been an absolute superstar to watch on the floor. Point guard with a college-ready skillset and a high basketball IQ. High motor player that can pretty much do it all on the court. Great in both on-ball and off-ball situations. A very mature player as a sophomore, helping dictate the flow the game throughout.

[player_tooltip player_id='1052477' first='Nyasia' last='Caban'] - Kimball Union Academy (2027)

Caban can do a little bit of everything on the court, a 5-4 point guard/shooting guard with incredible versatility as an underclassman and an impressive watch defensively. Great on-ball defender that can switch off when needed, but stays on her man well. The three-point shooting is quite literally on-point with a little swagger. Spot-up shooter that hits her spots, but can nail shots in transition as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1041821' first='Alani' last='Rodriguez'] - Phillips Academy (2027)

Rodriguez has already attracted the attention of college scouts as she really begins her foray into high school basketball. Impressive freshman season with plenty of noticeable growth in her game. The same cam be said during the AAU season, just a smooth guard with great ball-handling skills and insight for her teammates. Court vision comes into play as she finds open looks for assists while creating scoring opportunities for herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='998352' first='Mia' last='Canales'] - Proctor Academy (2026)

Canales is one of two Proctor Academy players on this roster and brings with her a wealth of experience at both the high school and AAU level. Plenty of speed that's been put on display throughout her career. Incredibly helpful in fast break situations on both sides, to start and to finish them off. Complementary defender that has that split-second instinct to deflect a pass or get a steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='481350' first='Lilly' last='Phillips'] - Central Catholic (2026)

Plenty of promise from this Central Catholic guard. A strong piece of the backcourt that can maneuver her way around the floor to find those open looks or those pockets to make plays happen. Still plenty of raw talent with her that will be honed in over the course of her high school career, but she really seems to be settling in well as a high-upside, well-rounded guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='300448' first='Sierra' last='Jean'] - Proctor Academy (2026)

Jean has really fit in well to that three & D role on the court, though within that slot, she's excelled tremendously as a defender while expanding her range offensively. Quick to the ball and reads where the ball is going so well, something that's allowed her to cut off passes frequently to cause turnovers. Interesting release on the three, but it's a quick release with plenty of loft and it's very effective and efficient.

Corinne Lomax - Tabor Academy (2027)

Previously at Holy Cross but now at Tabor Academy, Lomax has been a bucket so far in her career. Can play both as a guard and a forward. Very versatile in that regard, but knows how to dominate down on the low post. Those close-range shots are her bread and butter, a big reason why she's gotten so many looks and offers from Division I programs in recent months. All well-deserved for the 5-11 sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='278583' first='Summer' last='Warren'] - Brooks School (2026)

A jack of all trades on the floor it seems, Warren can play both in and out on both sides of the ball. Definitely can create and score from the outside if she has the opportunity to. Efficient scorer and uses her body to draw contact. Not afraid to be physical, which has built up her toughness on the floor. She was dropping 20-piece and 25-pieces like it was nothing during the high school season.

Chloe O'Brien - Malden Catholic (2026)

Taller point guard that has a great grasp of things defensively. Does the little things really well and has picked up well on trends from other teams to exploit them on the floor. Great speed on the court that's shown off in fast break situations or even just chasing down loose balls. Plays with confidence and that confidence spreads to her teammates. Knows how to get results on the court.

Anna McGuinness - Exeter (2026)

Versatile guard that features in the backcourt, able to play at both the 1 and the 2, depending on the game situation and opponent. Interesting piece to watch because just as much as she can light things up from deep, she'll get physical down low, put up some tough shots, make some tough takes and go take charge of the boards. Impressed with her growth over the spring and summer that will carry into this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='393474' first='Emma' last='Gillis'] - Sanborn Regional (2026)

Another versatile piece that features at the 1 or the 2 on the floor and can do just about anything. Fantastic rebounder for a guard which plays well. Excels inside the lane and in the paint. Aggressive and strong defender that causes turnovers often. Sneaky great shot-blocker as well. Like the body of work she's put up, really impressive on the break and a breakout season is well on the way for her.
