Carrasco is a player that I knew would be good, yeah I dropped #D1Lock on her in 6th or 7th grade, and not because we have the same initials. Her poise under pressure and wanting the ball down the stretch told me what was coming yet she's a player who has kept adding more to her game. The jumper is being dropped for deeper, court vision across the board has jumped yet "making those around her better" is one of those things you can't teach and that's when you go from good to great

Khawaja is another player I caught early who showed a lot of promise because of her silky/smooth manner on the court which kept the defender guessing whether she would attack or drop the jumper. Well nothing has changed other than her finishes are stronger after contact and her "catch and shoot" from deep is better, but so is her defense, including playing the passing lane

Neal is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends of the court. Her "on the ball" pressure grabbed my attention off the top yet her first step to get by defender and score after contact was also a plus. Her court vision was solid as saw the floor both in the set as well as in transition and she too played the passing lane

Gipson has me wondering about the first time I saw her, I knew it was probably in the 6th grade yet no roster means nothing in the search bar. Watching her "on the court" progression has been a treat as she's a big guard who finds ways to put the ball in the basket. Mid to long-range, off the dribble, around the basket, putbacks included, she just gets it done. Her defense as well as rebounding also stood out

Milton is one of the most powerful guards off the dribble in the state and watching her finish after contact is special. She also adds explosiveness so mixing it up to leave the defender standing or using it to elevate off the ground and score, mid to long-range, was in full effect yet the affect was simple as it also was a momentum changer for her squad

Stigall reiterated my "it's not what you do, it's who you do it against" on one of my final trips to San Antonio to cover an event as she dropped 40 on one of the top school teams in the state. Her numerous moves, including the HEZ as well as a very nice first step, were on full display, so was her dropping it from deep yet her court vision was also solid

Barnes is "long and athletic" which I call the base and observing her play all 5 positions in high school, as well as club ball has been something to see. She does things effortlessly and efficiently and her midrange shooting gives defenders problems because she also attacks from multiple angles to finish. She rebounded, on both ends, even went coast to coast a few times to score or dish
