We're still taking some deep cuts and highlighting players I don't talk about as much as I could. Without any extra filler, let's get into it.

The Milton guard is one of the players that surprised me the most in 2023-24. Kilen shot the ball well and did an excellent job finding open space to get her shot off. The other thing that stands out with her is her all-around toughness. Kilen is one of the better-rebounding guards in the Badger, and you would not think she's rebounding at that level if you saw her warming up. Kilen's not physically imposing but unafraid to throw her body around.

[player_tooltip player_id='882262' first='Mady' last='Rinderle']

Every time I do stuff like this, some names pop up that I may have noticed once or twice in passing but never sat watched film from, and Rinderle is that player today. The Horicon forward is a solid rebounding and finished through contact with her left hand. The frontcourt pairing of Rinderle and [player_tooltip player_id='874948' first='Sarah' last='Hodgson'] is something that Horicon can be excited about over the next three seasons. They could slowly climb the Trailways-East standings with those two.

[player_tooltip player_id='888484' first='Mallory' last='McCoy']

I saw McCoy once during the high school season at Hamilton and was intrigued by what she could become. McCoy is a solid shooter, and even though it's not the quickest motion, all the mechanical aspects of it look solid. She's an excellent free-throw shooter, which is usually a solid indicator of how good a shooter a player is. She has the talent to be someone who plays at the next level. I love her ability to shoot from the perimeter, but her willingness to dig in and rebound shows some of her competitive edge. She'll be an intriguing player to monitor over the next three years.

[player_tooltip player_id='877515' first='Samantha' last='Veldkamp']

I love doing these deep dives. Like I said earlier, there are some names I take an interest in right away. Veldkamp is a kid who should draw interest at some point in her high school career from next-level programs. She played a high-usage role in year one at Sheboygan Christian and did a solid job. She turned the ball over but had to initiate plays when she was not a lead guard, so that's not shocking. Averaging a double-double as a 14-year-old is unexpected. Players with her length, mobility, and ability to use their physical tools are at a premium. She also had a sneaky-good season compared to some of the top players in the Big East-South.
