Doesn't time fly. It feels like just the other day, the class of 2025 were newbies on the block. Baby face kids who were just getting their feet wet in the high school game. Through blood, sweat, and tears, these young ladies have turned out to be some outstanding student athletes, who can hoop with some of the best. Within this class, we will have many to go on to play collegiately at the next level. From D1s to JUCOs, these young ladies will have captured their dreams and furthered along their education using basketball as a means to do so. But there is still work to be done as their senior season approaches.

Throughout the course of this journey, these seniors have been through a lot. A lot of highs, a lot of lows, uncertainty, doubt, excitement, ect. They know the game and how it ebbs and flows. Along this basketball path, they have encountered bumps in the road, but they have overcome them and have grown from their experience. Now, they are staring at their calendars as the season nears. One last ride. One last time to beat that team. One last time to show out in front of those fans. One last time to play at that venue. One last time to capture the gold. This season is going to be a great one. It's gonna go by fast so embrace each moment. It's been a heckuva ride, but it's not over yet. There is still work to be done.

Here are some young ladies who are going to experience their one last ride this upcoming season. These talented young ladies aren't done playing the game of basketball. It will just be their last time hooping on high school courts. Take the time to check them out and show them some love. Do that for all seniors. They've laid it on the line for their prospective schools. The time, the effort, doesn't go unnoticed ladies. Hats off to you. Here are some ballplayers gearing up for one last ride this 2024-2025 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='631090' first='Cybil' last='Penland'] (5'10/Sr./SG/ Sevier Co.)- Dual sport athletes who plays with speed and power. Possessing a nice frame, this three level scoring threat is one of the leading catalysts for her ball club. A solid two-way player who can be a problem on both ends of the floor. She can score it from multiple spots, but its the other things she does which makes it hard to predict. Timely passes, gets rebounds, steals, just contributes all around to help her club be successful. She will be going on to play at Carson-Newman next year. CN got a steal in this young lady. Look for her to come out this season with a vengeance and lead Sevier Co. to new heights.

[player_tooltip player_id='810507' first='Emma' last='Bryant'] (5'7/ Sr./ SG/ Wayne Co.)- Don't let the height fool you, this young lady can play. She can spot up on the arc and knock it down at a consistent clip. She can attack the rim and use different counter moves to finish at the cup if a defender cuts her off. Has amazing court vision, feels the pressure and finds the open girl for an easy shot attempt. This young lady is flying under the radar, but I expect her to have a big time senior season. She is a great two-way player who competes every single possession. Look for her to be wearing a uniform at the next level and come in and contribute right away for whatever school she chooses. Solid kid who has a lot of upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='804334' first='Gibson' last='Boykin'] (5'7/Sr./SG/ Jackson Christian School)- Johnson University got a steal in this kid. She is a tough competitor who fights tooth and nail for everything. Can knock down shots from multiple spots on the floor. Can attack the rim and finish through contact. She defends, making it hard for opponents to get into their sets. I will say she is a determined individual who just gets after it every single possession. Gibson takes nothing for granted. She is passionate about the game and it is evident in her play. This kid is going to be a difference maker for JU. In the meantime, look for her to handle her business at JCS before she takes off. Great kid who is about to have a breakthrough year.

[player_tooltip player_id='409092' first='Tamiah' last='Tanner'] (5'8/Sr./SF/ Cleveland)- Speed and quickness. Two things that can't be taught that this young lady has. An under the radar prospect, this kid uses her speed to create havoc on both ends of the floor. She has a nice quick first step that enables her to attack down hill. She can pull it from multiple spots on the floor. Defensively, she has a knack for being around the ball. Tips, deflections, steals, rebounds, she sells herself to gain the next opportunity for her ball club. A very talented wing who is a solid two-way player. Wherever she lands next, she will be coming to create havoc for the teams in that conference. A solid kid who has nice upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='409016' first='Jayda' last='Bernard'] (6'0/Sr./PF/Stewart's Creek)- Dual sport athlete who is fun to watch. For starters, this kid is an inside out player and very versatile. Can be used in the screen game, either rolling or popping for a shot attempt. She can stretch the floor and launch it from the arc, or attack down hill staying low as she gets past her defender. She can knock it down from the mid-range and play with her back to the basket. See what I mean by versatile, she can create the mismatch and exploit it. Defensively, Jayda is a beast. Blocking shots, owning the boards. The painted area is a no-go for opponents. Whoever takes a flyer on this young lady will be getting a steal. An outstanding student-athlete who is a tough competitor. She brings it every time she steps onto the floor.
