[player_tooltip player_id='967964' first='Aliona' last='Nikulina'] (2027) | 6'0 PF | Rocky Hill Country Day

Aliona is coming in as the top-rated power forward in the rankings. The 6'0 versatile forward can play at least 3 different positions on any given night. Her ability to shoot the long 3 allows her to be successful as a small forward in some of the bigger lineups she plays in, but her post skills also allow her to flourish down low with the centers. Nikulina offers athleticism, high IQ and impactful scoring capabilities mixed with high energy defense on the other end. Aliona offers a ton to the game and that's why she was such a key piece to her team's championship run this year. Her game is steady and reliable enough to take on heavy loads of responsibility. Aliona makes herself available while sealing defenders before she gets to her moves. Soft hands and finishing ability at the rim. She is a work horse that brings that energy to the game on both sides of the ball. On Defense, Nikulina works well roaming underneath the 3-point line or binding up players down low attempting shots at the rim. Aliona is looking to add on to her championship resume as a sophomore as well as her elite status among the bigs in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='967305' first='Dariia' last='Serednytska'] (2027) | 6'2 Center | Mount Saint Charles

Serednytska comes in as the region's top center in 2027. Dariia is a transfer from Rocky Hill Country Day, where she just won a championship on a loaded team. She was a key contributor to the team and was a part of one of the most talented young frontlines in all of NEPSAC. She brings her talents to a Mount Saint Charles team that's transferring into the NEPSAC league. Serednytska will come in as their top player after having an excellent spring/summer where she has polished off more of her game. The 6'2 big offers some traditional down low play, but she also works well as a trailer coming down the floor. The long strides make her an excellent rim runner to create easy offense too. Dariia will have a chance with her new team to show off more creation skills from different points of the floor, something she is more than capable of doing. With more touches Dariia is guaranteed to be productive. Serednytska is already getting some college looks, but will surely grab even more attention this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='967968' first='Carson' last='Hill'] (2027) | PF | Middlesex

Carson is a solid power forward that remains consistent. Timely rebounds, sharp outlet passes and some scoring from interior a well as some outside abilities make her a logical option to feed. As a defender, she uses her strong frame to keep people out the paint while still challenging shots put up at the rim. She can move laterally to stay with forwards who like to put the ball on the floor for a few dribbles. Hill causes disruption to entry passes and has active hands while offensive players are attempting to get into their moves. Carson can be a player that could be a force to reckon with.

Elin is a x-factor that makes any team better. She serves as a utilitarian type of player that gets the job done by any means. Fitzgerald is high functioning from the short corner, mid-post and even pops out to the 3. She moves well without the ball in her hands while always remaining a threat as a cutter. Elin gets into the seams of the defense and makes herself available for easy baskets. Defensively, Fitzgerald is fantastic playing help side and even chasing down blocks out in transition. Elin will be a glue piece for a Saint George's team that is looking to capitalize on title this year. Expect Elin to be in a bigger role and look to assert herself as a name to know this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='968025' first='Mel' last='McCarthy'] offers a credible source of scoring from the post, mid-post and the 3-point line. Her faceup game is lethal because of her high percentage midrange shot. She is a patient player that plays with a great pace. Mel gets off the ball fast to be able to shift the defense while she finds her spots in the cracks behind defenders. She's a reliable option when the offensive breaks down due to her ability to finish with both hands. McCarthy embraces contact and rarely complains about the foul. Mel serves as a solid defender when faced with traditional posts on the block. She isn't foul prone and communicates well with her teammates. McCarthy will be a player to keep an eye out for in New Hampshire this year.
