In this article we highlight five players out of the state of Iowa and Nebraska, that would be considered as "uncommitted two-way" prospects, meaning that they can play both sides of the floor at a high-level and they all should be able to produce in the college ranks, if given the right opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id='757583' first='Mylee' last='Tichota'] embodies what it means to be a two-way player in my opinion. Tichota is a skilled prospect on both sides of the ball, that is willing to guard the opposing team's best offensive weapon or she can be used as the main piece in her team's offense while going toward the rim. This is someone that is always willing to make the extra pass to the open teammates around her that open up and she communicates well. All in all, she checks off a lot of boxes and she doesn't take plays off. What more can you ask for from a coaching perspective?

The mixture of quick hands, long arms, natural instincts, and knowledge of the game that [player_tooltip player_id='316456' first='Keeleigh' last='Knobbe'] of Piux X possesses is second-to-none out of her 2025 Class and that is why she is a Top 25 rated prospect moving into this Fall. Knobbe can lead by passing, setting up her team's motion, or getting her own. She can switch between different players on defense, staying in front of smaller opponents and walling up against bigger ones, but always holding her own, no matter what the situation may be. Knobbe is one of my favorite underrated players out of Nebraska and I hope college recruiters start to see why, more and more as we move forward.

The future upside that [player_tooltip player_id='777226' first='Maryn' last='Franken'] of Sioux Center possesses is one of the highest throughout the state of Iowa at this point in the game. Franken is a 6'0, she moves like a guard, she can attack and finish at the rim or she can knock down open jumpers, and she is always willing to learn when she makes a mistake or is unaware of a certain situation. It's been a steady climb for Franken at this point but she is very early off in her high school career and she is only going to get better with experience. Before you know it, she is going to have several 20+ Division-1 offers and that speaks to what she is going to be able following her high school days.

[player_tooltip player_id='655088' first='Ayana' last='Owens'] is holding 5-10 offers from the collegiate level to continue on after this Winter following a successful AAU season with her NHE 17U team. Owens is fast acting, she competes with a chip on her shoulder, she is coordinated more than most her age, and she has solid size at 5'9. This past twelve months she has been someone that has stepped up whenever I've watched her compete live and I'm hoping that she can do that for her Senior season. She didn't see the Varsity floor as much as she should off during her 2023-2024 campaign so it'll all come down to how every adapts to the given situation.

[player_tooltip player_id='873148' first='Molly' last='Shafer'] has been the definition of a beast the past three years at the Varsity level for her EBF Rockets team, even while they have had some really skilled players at several different positions around the court. Shafer has height, a physical game near the hoop, knowledge of how to rebound against alike size or bigger sized opponents, and soft hands to control the ball once it hits her in the hands in any situation. From what I've seen, Shafer is a multi-sport athlete, that thrives at competing. I'm not sure if basketball is her collegiate future but I know of a handful of college coaches that would take, if she were open to it. Until then though, she will continue to work this Winter for her Rockets crew, putting up eye-opening numbers once again in the meantime.
