Year 2 loading for the 2027 class. This should be an exciting year that these young ladies are about to embark on. For one, they should feel more comfortable and have a good understanding of the program's system and the speed of the game. They have an idea of how the game should be played and have picked up little nuances along the way to help them become successful. A lot of 27s will be coming into the season with increased roles. The coaching staff has trusted them with more based off their production last year and throughout the course of the summer. By no means are the 27s a finished product, however they are the future of programs all across the state and possess a lot of talent within it.

Looking at the 27 class from a birds eye view, there are tons of girls who will be big time contributors this year. Girls who will get valuable minutes and start to solidify a name for themselves within the region. Some girls have already taken the steps to become household names. Others are about to turn the corner and become the next prospects that a) college coaches will be looking at b) high school coaches will have to game plan for. Like all things, it takes time to get going and this class for sure will be something special when its all said and done.

The more I contemplate what this class has to offer, the more I see the value each of these kids bring. Going position by position, you have size, speed, shooters, game changers, difference makers, just hard working individuals who will contribute to the outcome of a basketball game. Go down any list and look at the different positions, you will notice the same thing I do. Girls in this class get after it and they don't wait around for their opportunity. They go out and get it and set the tone for their ball club especially given the opportunity. Like I mentioned earlier, when its all said and done, this will be a tremendous class. Until then, enjoy watching this class compete and raise the bar for basketball across the state.

Dual sport athlete who is a leader amongst young ladies. A kid who can score on all 3 levels, however it's her passing ability that separates her from most. She is a selfless ball player who is versatile and just gets after it. A passionate human being who competes on both ends of the floor. Solid in the open floor, she makes the right play at the right time. Has amazing court vision and can visualize something happening before it actually does. Can sit down and guard, get steals, just a finisher on both ends of the floor. A solid kid who will continue to grow.

Versatile kid who can play inside and out. She can shoot it from the perimeter or bang down low, going through contact on her way to a bucket. This kid can be used in many facets of the game. Doesn't matter the system, she can fit into multiple sets. She can be used in space, playing the stretch position. She can be used in the screen game, where she will roll or pop for open shot attempts. If she is feeling it, she will grab a board and be the point forward on a fast break. Yes, she is heavy on the boards on both ends, but what I love about her game the most is her selfless attitude where she will lay her body on the line to take charges. This kid is solid and will continue to grow especially into someone you need to game plan for. Look for her trajectory to continue to go up.

Dual sport athlete who is a confident spot up shooter. Her game has continued to evolve but leave her wide open, she is going to knock it down from the arc. MJ can score it on the interior as well as from the perimeter. She contributes on the defensive end, slowing down the opposition, getting rebounds, and getting deflections/steals. Look for her to grow as she continues to learn under her new coach and gain more court time.

A very intriguing prospect who seems to grow every time she steps onto the floor. I feel like she is getting more confident and adding to her game all the time, which in turn adds value to her ball club. Mut can score it around the high post, corners, and the block area. What she does well is on the defensive end where grabs boards, blocks shots, makes it tough for offenses to run their systems. Has great size and length, she creates havoc like it's nobody's business. Look for her to continue to grow and become a force to be reckoned with down the road.

I am looking for her to step up and make an impact for her BA squad this upcoming year. This kid can put the ball in the net, getting down hill to score it at the cup or pull it from deep. She has a nice feel for the game, where she recognizes where pressure is coming from and hits the open girls for an easy shot attempt. Where she separates herself from most is on the defensive end. She slides her feet well, keeping opponents in front, she gets steals, she is great in trapping situations. The Lady Eagles will look for her to step up in a big way. There is no doubt in my mind that she will be ready for the assignment. Solid prospect who is on an upwards trajectory.
