Reagan Pagnaino of Pleasant Valley High School has stood out to me ever since she helped lead her team to a 5A State Title a few years back. On that run, she demonstrated that she can lead a team's offense that possesses D1 talent, while also being a controller of pace of play with the ability to make the others around her shine. Last week, Pagnaino committed to D3 - Wartburg to compete at the next level. This is a big commitment for Wartburg in my opinion. This is a prospect that has proven her worth on the biggest of stages and she is going to be set to do the same once she gets a shot within that collegiate program in a couple of years.

Another great move that I think benefits both parties equally is [player_tooltip player_id='582828' first='Dasia' last='Foster']'s commitment to Kirkwood Community College, following her Senior year at Oskaloosa. The Kirkwood Eagles are a prestigious and well-known program throughout not only the Midwest, but throughout the entire Country. They have hoisted several JUCO National Titles in their past years and they are hoping to continue with that trend up with the commitment from prospects like Foster. This is 6'3 prospect that has a foundation to build on. She is going to be someone that can matchup with bigger opponents defensive or she can protect the paint against someone smaller perhaps. She is going to have to keep working on her game to really prefect it but this is a great stepping-stone for Foster in the grand scheme of things. With her size, who knows where she could end up in the very end.

The Morningside Mustangs got the commitment of [player_tooltip player_id='316416' first='Parker' last='Christiansen'] out of Waverly High School as recently as last week. Christiansen is an agile, 6'0 Foward, that is slowly expanding her play-style as we speak. She is starting to prove on consistent basis that she is improving and that's going to fair well for her near and distant future. I'm not exactly sure who will be on roster with the Mustangs by the time that Parker gets there but with her natural height and adaptability, it's not crazy to think that she could see the hardwood early on in her collegiate career if she works hard enough and stays highly motivated.

[player_tooltip player_id='342195' first='Laynee' last='Hogan'] will be joining Pagniano in her commitment to Wartburg. Hogan is the leader of her East Buchanan Varsity team and that is not going to change for her Senior season. This group does have some other prospects that can do a thing or two but it seems that they are really only going to go as far as Hogan can take them with the ball in her possession. Over the years, Hogan has proven that she is a leader. She can compete on both sides of the floor at an effective rate and make things exciting with her tenacious pressure. Now that she is locked in to compete at the next level, that takes a bunch of pressure off of her so she will be able to step out there as a Senior this Winter and play confidently. Something that will be exciting to see first hand.

The most recent commitment out of the state of Nebraska comes to us on the form of PG, [player_tooltip player_id='824279' first='Annie' last='Harms'] of Waverly High School. Harms stands right around 5'6 with some solid skill and knowledge of the game attached along with that. The past three seasons she has been an important leader on her Waverly Varsity team and that isn't going to change during this upcoming season either. Harms natural stature, willingness to adapt, and quick release while letting go of the ball screams college prospect and so I'm glad she is getting a chance to take her skill-set to the Morningside Mustangs out of Iowa. She will be joining up with her running partner, [player_tooltip player_id='316416' first='Parker' last='Christiansen'] who also competes with her at Waverly so I'm sure that those two are going to use their connection to make some waves following their high school careers but we will just have to wait and see.

The news that [player_tooltip player_id='311381' first='Divine' last='Bourrage'] of Davenport North High School committed to LSU Women's Basketball hit the public on Thursday morning and became a national headline almost immediately. Bourrage is the #1 rated prospect out of her 2025 Class in Iowa and the #5 rated player out of the 2025 Class throughout the Nation, according to ESPNW. To explain Bourrage's game in a few sentences is tough but the easiest way to put it is that she could be a vital piece to the Tigers program, as they attempt to compete for a National Title, year-in and year-out, during her collegiate career. This is always one of the best programs throughout the Country, so it'll be interesting of the dynamic and actual roster on hand in a year, but that shouldn't really play a factor as Bourrage is good enough to out-duel anyone for a starting spot when she has the right motivation.
