Elite 100 AZ Standouts

On Sunday, September 15th I attended the WCE Elite 100 Camp. There were players from states including California, Oregon, and Colorado among others. There was a lot of talent on display throughout the event.    Here I take a look at some of the Arizona standouts from the event:    Novelle is a big guard moved to the beat of her own drum. In short, she played at her own pace and displayed a nice all-around game. She rebounded, handled the ball, and shot the ball from all three levels.      One of the top post players in the country, Bofia was hard to keep out of the painted area. Once she established a position in the paint she went to work finishing consistently. She rebounded at a high rate and was among the best shot blockers there.     Campbell is a strong lead guard who uses her strength to keep off quick defenders. She didn't waste much motion getting to where she wanted to on the court and made sound decisions with the ball. A lefty who got into the lane and bullied guards.     Destinee is as good a shooter as there is around. She shot it with tremendous confidence and shot it with range well past the three-point line. She also showed that she could not only catch and shoot but she put the ball on the floor as well to get good looks.      Brownlee continued to show that she belongs among the best in the state despite being a youngster. She didn't back down from the competition and showed the ability to defend multiple positions. On offense, she was fluid and showed the skill to get to the mid-range or to the rim.      Noelle has been on a tear lately and it continued at the camp. She was probably the best athlete at the event as she often got the rebound and went coast to coast. When her perimeter jump shot is hitting as it was she's as tough a cover in the state.      Sirgi showed why she is on quite a few college's radars. Her size is the first thing that jumped out at you but her ability to run the floor was a pleasant surprise. She knows how to use her body in the paint and shows a nice shooting touch from the outside. She will be a top 10 prospect in the state.     Emilie is a newcomer on the scene and she is up to the task. She's a longer-wing prospect who scored from various spots on the court. She has a nice arching shooting touch from the outside. She's a fluid athlete who affected the game on both ends of the court.
