Darby was 5A 2nd team all-state as a junior and is poised to have an even bigger senior season. Anytime a program returns their lead guard good things are in store - Darby is especially impactful due to her heavy workload: Handling, shooting, and passing for Mead HS. Her ability to run this team and control the tempo of any matchup make the Mavericks a legit threat to make another deep playoff run. She currently holds offers from Loras College and Northeastern Junior College, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if she plays her way into a lot more college opportunities this season.

Lydia is an extremely talented guard that has gotten better and better each year of her high school career. Air Academy finished last season 25-2 with a final 4 appearance and Flowers played a massive role in that success averaging 17 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. She is a lights out shooter but does a good job of finding her open teammates when help arrives. Lydia's great high school season in combination with a solid summer, playing for [program_tooltip program_id='732418' first='GRIT' last=''], earned her a scholarship to Regis University. While Flowers has a bright future at the college level, she has some unfinished business at Air Academy. Don't be surprised to see the Kadets competing during that final weekend again.

[player_tooltip player_id='631331' first='Makenzie' last='Jones'] - Remember that name! Many of the most knowledgeable basketball minds in the greater Denver area believe Makenzie is a star in the making. She is an extremely physical athlete that has an unbelievable combination of size, strength and speed - Mix that with her ability to attack the rim and finish inside with consistency, you've got something special. Jones is as competitive as they come and she helped a very young Mullen team last year more than hold their own in the always tough 6A Centennial League. With the Mustangs moving down to 5A this season teams need to watch out for this very real threat.

Sydney busted onto the scene in a huge way this summer while playing for [program_tooltip program_id='712413' first='BC' last='Denver']. After starting at guard for the 5A Standley Lake Gators as a freshman and helping lead the team to their second elite 8 appearance in school history, she attracted many college coaches. So much so that the University of Portland provided her first division I opportunity. Martin is a defensive anchor - Her athleticism and length elevate her team in many ways. Opposing players are never safe when Sydney is around the rim because her timing and aggressiveness to block shots is amazing. Offensively, she attacks the rim with tenacity and precision, finishing and-one opportunities at an incredible rate. It will be exciting to see what this super-sophomore will do this season.
