Juniors to See: Guard Edition

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>We still have a short period of time before the high school seasons start in North Carolina, but that doesn't mean we aren't excited to see these athletes hit the court again.  Let's take a look at some of the juniors who are ready to have a big season this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block have a great season leading her team doing a little bit of everything including handling the ball, making some plays inside, and setting herself up for some jump shots.  She can get to the rim easily using her ball fakes, and she has a nice shot from deep making it off the pass.  She knows how to push the tempo taking advantage of any mismatches that her defenders show.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> exceptional shot from around the perimeter.  She can make it off the pass or set herself up knocking it down off the dribble.  She sees the floor well knowing where to move with and without the ball to create a play, and she can get into the paint easily hitting the floater.  She finds her open teammates as they get set up helping them get some points.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- the court is certainly contagious as she brings the intensity every time she plays.  She is a tenacious defender playing aggressively when guarding the ball, and she understands how to shift and move to always be an asset.  She can knock the ball away from a guard dribbling or deflect the pass before it reaches its destination.  She takes that aggressiveness to the offensive side pushing the tempo some tough takes to the hoop putting up a floater or making a tough baseline drive for two points.  She attacks the lanes and makes some nice adjustments as she finishes at the rim.  She draws score on fast breaks, and she reads the floor well knowing when to make the right pass or pull the ball back to set up some offensive sets.  She understands how quickly passes to increase the tempo
