We've talked so much recently about player offers and official/unofficial visits, but it's been a bit since we've discussed player commitments in the New England region. We have quite a bit to talk about in this article with plenty more coming as we count down the days to the start of the high school season!

[player_tooltip player_id='437312' first='Maddy' last='Steel'] - Bishop Feehan (2025) commits to Tufts

Just before the start of September, Steel announced her commitment to Tufts as her senior year got underway. What a major burden lifted off her shoulders as she's now just able to focus on basketball for her senior season. Easily one of the most creative players that we've seen in Massachusetts over the past few years and most importantly, she's a winner. She's a proven winner and a leader.

[player_tooltip player_id='987553' first='Mackenzie' last='Mori'] - Hamden Hall (2025) commits to Maine

Mori is another high profile senior prospect who won't have to worry about where she's headed for college during her senior year. That's already been figured out as she committed to Maine in August, a well-deserved accomplishment for a crafty guard with height and wingspan to her advantage. She's a fantastic shooter, knowing the floor well and where her hot spots are. Electric talent to watch, no doubt.

[player_tooltip player_id='450216' first='Noa' last='Brown'] - Needham (2025) commits to Oberlin

A versatile guard who can play at the 1 or the 2 on the floor, Brown has really come into her own in recent years, understanding the game will and executing it even better. Oberlin found a great addition to their team in this standout guard from Needham, an exciting talent and a playmaker on the floor. She can get the job done about as well as anyone, but she's not afraid to dish the rock and get opponents involved quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='987651' first='Reese' last='Matela'] - St. Mary's (2025) commits to Assumption

Matela is actually one of two players in this commitment update to be headed to Assumption after several standout seasons at St. Mary's. When you see her and watch her play, her height, understandably so, is the first thing that jumps off the page. The 6-2 forward has used that height to her advantage, dominating the paint and boards while protecting the rim. Let's not forget about a strong offensive touch around the basket too.

Maddie Topa - Northwestern Regional (2025) commits to Curry College

Topa is as accomplished a player as we've seen in New England in recent years and the accolades speak for themselves. A multi-time all-state and all-conference selection, not to mention someone closing in on 2,000 career points, she's been a playmaker and game-changer for Northwestern Regional. Crafty and experienced player who's maturity has shown on the floor.

Maddie Handrahan - Glastonbury (2025) commits to Assumption

Soon to be joining [player_tooltip player_id='987651' first='Reese' last='Matela'] at Assumption next year is Maddie Handrahan, a team captain, all-conference level player and someone who's shown incredible growth on the floor over the past several years. AAU ball has certainly helped in that endeavor, allowing her to become a more multi-dimensional player with strong offensive and defensive skills. Multi-sport athlete with a high basketball IQ and impressive work ethic.

[player_tooltip player_id='336481' first='Camryn' last='Kinne'] - Sutton (2025) commits to Stevens

Kinne, the Bay State Jaguars standout, will be staying relatively local as she committed to Stevens over the past month. Big news for her and the program, but a well-deserved honor for one of the most balanced, all-around talents in the area. She's a multi-sport star with great maturity and poise on the floor. Knows where and when to attack and execute, making her very impressive scorer and player to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='278567' first='Maysen' last='Hill'] - St. Andrew's (2025) commits to Fordham

We certainly have a fair share of non-D1 prospects talked about in this article, but we also have a few D1 commits, like [player_tooltip player_id='278567' first='Maysen' last='Hill'], the 5-11 point guard headed to New York and Fordham. An all-state talent out of Rhode Island, she brings with her height, something that's going to pay dividends this season. Height lends itself to more success inside and out, a perfect combination for her overall and future success.

[player_tooltip player_id='450193' first='Emma' last='Sollenne'] - St. Luke's (2025) commits to Mercyhurst

Sollenne has grinded through workouts and plenty more to get to this point, so in early August, when she announced her commitment, it was awesome to see. She brings with her a near-complete skillset and game on the floor, someone that can score from a plethora of different area offensively. At the same time, she's shown herself to be a fantastic defensive piece, a shot-blocking, rebounding monster when at her best.

[player_tooltip player_id='302495' first='Cheyenne' last='Brand'] - Greens Farms Academy (2025) commits to High Point

Brand was one of the last players to announce her college commitment over this recent cycle, having done it just about one week ago, and she's one of three players in this story headed to play Division I basketball. High Point found a gem in her, one of the most versatile pieces on the floor, a player that's effective inside-and-out. Very strong peripherals and a balanced skillset as a result of her great player versatility.

We've talked so much recently about player offers and official/unofficial visits, but it's been a bit since we've discussed player commitments in the New England region. We have quite a bit to talk about in this article with plenty more coming as we count down the days to the start of the high school season!
