This year, a number of senior, junior and sophomore talents had their hooping sneakers on at the Rock Hill Sports & Events Center for this year's Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Expo. The venue is one of the newer facilities constructed in South Carolina as it first opened its doors in 2019.

We have analyzed a number of the 5v5 teams that were present for this past weekend's festivities. Without further ado, we now turn our attention to a few of the standouts that comprised Team 7.

Usually, when a program graduates a pair of star seniors as is the case for 4A Hartsville, they look to their rosters to see who will assume that role for the next several seasons. This past weekend, Reyes resembled someone who is more than ready to assume that role for the Red Foxes. She showcased what she can do from behind the 3-point line and also displayed her ability to draw contact and find her way to the free throw line. Reyes has been playing at the varsity level since she was in the eighth grade and averaged 7.3 points and 1.1 steals per contest last season at Hartsville.

After establishing herself as a name to be reckoned with within South Carolina high school girls basketball at one 5A school in the Lowcountry, Moses will bring her talents to another nearby 5A Lowcountry school. Among the areas of her game that she places plenty of emphasis on is ball control and passing. Moses understands the art of organizing an offense in a halfcourt set and fuses together ball handling and speed to find her way through an opposing defense. She transferred from Goose Creek to Berkeley and has played at the varsity level since she was in the eighth grade.

The Vikings of 1A Latta graduated its star senior from last season. With that being the case, Page is showing signs that she is likely to assume a leadership role going forward for Latta. What she brings on the defensive end can create additional offensive possessions for her team. Offensively, one can place Page either at the one or at the two in the backcourt. Page is listed at 5-foot-4. A 3-point shot is part of her already impressive but still developing skillset and she will also display how effective she is as a floor runner. Defense is another aspect of said skillset that she also excels in.

In the last few seasons, Prioleau has been one of the focal points of all things 2A Timberland. She is about to begin her junior season with the Wolves and will fuse together the talent she has amassed with experience. Prioleau displays her confidence in calling for the ball whenever she feels she can make a play. And a good number of those offensive plays can be 3-pointers. Athleticism and versatility with an ability play at a variety of positions are other qualities that make Prioleau one of the more intriguing prospects throughout the Carolinas. She put together her best statistical season last year at Timberland.

Hudson may not have been as ballyhooed as other prospects in the state given she plays a bit off the grid at 4A Colleton County. Perhaps that changes this year. In the 5v5 competition, Hudson did a great deal of her damage from the free throw line – an extension of her ability to draw contact. Defenses have to game plan for her if she has the ball from behind the 3-point arc as the ability to drain her attempts from deep is part of her overall skillset. The heads-up attitude she brings to the defense enables her to corral steals and create additional offensive possessions for her team.
