More than 100 prospects put their skills on display Sunday at the third annual Prep Girls Hoops Minnesota Freshman Showcase. The talented field at Hopkins High School was divided into 12 teams chosen at random by the super-secret (but less than perfect) PGH algorithm. The squads weren't exactly even, but our focus was on the individual performances rather than game outcomes or team play. We're analyzing players on a team-by-team basis. Here are the top performers from Team 10.

Shooters are gonna shoot and Robison is a truly elite shooter. Of course, she can do a whole lot more than that, too. On Sunday, all of it was on display at the Freshman Showcase. Lauren was clearly in the flow. She was aggressive on offense, launching her share of bombs from beyond the arc and attacking the basket with force and aggression. Lauren is a skilled ball handler and a strong distributor with quality court vision and passing skills. And she can be just as aggressive and impactful defensively. Is it any wonder why the Lakeville North guard made our 2028 Watch List?

There are very few players in the 9th grade who have the skills, maturity and physical strength that Elsa has. Like Youngberg and Eggers, the versatile guard from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls has emerged this summer as a force in the Class of 2028. She was a top 10 selection in our recent compilation of top prospects in West Central Minnesota. Elsa also earned top 10 performer status at the Freshman Showcase. Nothing seems to rattle this girl. She always competes hard, rarely makes the wrong play, and frequently wows us with how she can score. Retzlaff is the real deal and it showed again on Sunday.

Eggers has had an unbelievable year, emerging from the shadows to become one of the top prospects in the Class of 2028. She made our list of top defenders for the AAU season. She was in the running for Breakout Player of the Year and earned honorable mention. We've come to expect a lot from the big forward and on Sunday she delivered. Again. Eggers scored seemingly at will, rebounded with power and precision, and earned a spot on our top 10 performer's list. Brianna is now a serious Division 1 prospect and at the Freshman Showcase she played like it.

The lengthy guard is solid, doing so many things well and making few mistakes. That's exactly what coaches are looking for, of course, but it can also lead to being overlooked. I think that's been the situation for Jenna with the Fury, where she was surrounded by so many high-profile guards such as [player_tooltip player_id='716527' first='Ashna' last='Ramlall'], [player_tooltip player_id='772240' first='Sarah' last='Poepard'], [player_tooltip player_id='667771' first='Brooke' last='Soash'], etc. As demonstrated at the Showcase, Nelson is fast and athletic, she moves well with and without the ball, and she can score inside or outside with an array of creative moves. We love her commitment to the craft, to building her game over time, and contributing in whatever ways her team needs. All of it deserves to be recognized.

The big guard is an elite athletic talent and a physical specimen. She plays volleyball and runs track, and one gets the impression that Lilah could be pretty good at whatever sport she takes up. With size and strength and speed, she has the innate tools to be great. Laughlin has worked hard on her skill development, as well. Now, having gained more experience against elite talent, it's starting to come together in a big way. Defensively Laughlin has the length and elevation to alter shots and get blocks and does not lack aggression. Offensively, when Lilah attacks and employs her physical superiority, she is a handful for opponents of all descriptions.

Malin was the Prep Girls Hoops 2028 Breakout Player of the Year and a first-team all-defensive pick, so she is no stranger to the spotlight. She's had her name on the marquee for the past several months and it has been well-deserved for so many reasons. Youngberg's footwork is terrific. She can elevate with the best of them. She can make threes with plenty of range. Her ability to post up and outfox defenders down low is equally impressive. Spin moves. Euro-steps. And then there is the defensive side of the ball where her length, elevation, anticipation and athleticism are all weapons. Youngberg is now a strong D1 prospect and it showed again on Sunday.
