Nice jump shot off the ball screen in 3 on 3 play. A shooter that keeps good spacing on the drives which open up good gaps for the ball handler. Meaning she can shoot the ball, cut without the ball and rebound. She just plays hard on every possession. I really liked the hustle when she did not touch the ball always trying to make something happen for her team. Does a great job getting out on fastbreaks filling the lanes looking for the pass ahead with goods hands finishing the layup. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Off the ball defender that played the passing lanes getting her hands on several bad passes. As mentioned a scrappy guard that finds a way to get in the mix for rebounds. A player that lived at the free throw line Saturday as she continued to draw the contact on her drives. Nice outside jumper that kept the defense honest and up tight opening up those driving lanes. I listed earlier in a post that she is one of those players that gets knocked down to the floor and continued to compete at a high level throughout the day. A very hard nose player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense a good on the ball defender that will work them side to side creating a possible turnover opportunity. I will say that she did get back several times in transition blocking or contesting a open layup. Moves great off the ball either keeping proper spacing or crashing the boards. A fast tempo ball handler in transition that had the mind set of finishing coast to coast. Used a great change of dribble with a pocket hesi getting her defender flat footed so she can change her speed getting by them. As mentioned Kamyiah is listed as a shooting guard which was on display as well Saturday. Displayed a very smooth step back jumper for the 3 which you could tell she has worked on. Also hit a nice top of the key pull up in transition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough on the ball defender that has quick hands and good lateral movement. Off the ball she is did an excellent job jumping the passing lane for steals. Showed a strong pound dribble over the left shoulder move in both 3/3 and 5/5 play that was hard to defend. It was in 5 on 5 play that she showed her athletic ability of running the floor on both ends of the floor. Showed nice mid range jump shot about 15 feet out. The high percentage high post jumper stretched the defender out leaving the option to attack the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Defensively very effective on the post using solid footwork to get around the post getting the deflection and several steals. Great rotation in help provided a rim protector as she continued to block shots all afternoon. The footwork consisted of a nice 1-2 rhythm into her jumper. Knocking down several jump shots on the catch shoot, off the dribble, and off a ball screen. Good offensive rebounder that can scored some putbacks during 5/5 play. Nice vision that is able to throw the pass quickly and on point off the dribble. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong enough and has the height to defend inside if needed against the taller post players. Watching her shoot around during break she has a very good right side step that creates space for jump shot. Showed a very consistent mid range jumper doing shoot around.
