Select 60: 2027 Standouts

The Select 60 Showcase is always a competitive event where some of the top players from across the state come to get better and compete against one another. I was able to catch a little bit of the games played, so let's take a look at some of the 2027's that stood out to me.    [player_tooltip player_id='691830' first='Lenise' last='Joseph'] used her length to block some shots on defense. You can see how much she's trusted in the paint with how often the guards look inside to get her the pass. She reads her opponents well hustling back and clogging the paint getting her hands in the way of her opponents' passes.     [player_tooltip player_id='772566' first='Morgan' last='Knox'] was showing off her athleticism getting the passes when she found the opening and knocking down her shot from deep. She can battle anyone for some rebounds inside, and she does it well on both ends of the court. She continues to show off her versatility getting inside for points or handling the ball and knocking down shots.     KB Brown was always on the move working her handles to get the open look for her teammates, and she showed off her range shooting the ball from deep. She battles for the rebound inside on defense in order to take it quickly the other direction. The way she sells her moves with her eyes is next level making all of her defenders struggle.     [player_tooltip player_id='755812' first='Aamori' last='Patterson'] was hustling after loose balls making sure her team always had a chance to gain the possession. She showed off her range shooting the ball knocking it down from deep. She used her length with her outstretched hands blocking shots and getting in the face of her opponents as they tried to get to the basket.     [player_tooltip player_id='654834' first='Tait' last='Harvey'] was making some nice dump passes hitting her teammates right in the hands for them to go to work on the block. She has a quick close out even showing off how she can block shots. Her shot is fun to watch as she pulls up all over the court making it even with hands in her face.     [player_tooltip player_id='635063' first='Jaidiah' last='Blake'] was being a nuisance on defense. She'd strip the ball from her opponents and push it up the court. She can score against anyone, or she did a nice job finding her open teammates underneath the basket hitting them right in the hands. Her ability to increase the tempo always makes it difficult for her opponents to keep up.     Caroline Clark had a nice shot from deep, and she was always moving on offense looking for the opening. She hustled up the court pushing the tempo and making some nice plays on fast breaks. Her offensive IQ was fun to watch as she would move with and without the ball attacking the gaps and finding the open look.
