The length and size are the first things that jump out about Kunert. The 6'1 post also has some skills that she's figuring out. She does an excellent job using her pivot foot around the basket and understands how she can use step-throughs to get into space by using her length. There's plenty of room for her to grow. Kunert has enough tools to build with to help her excel in the Heart O'North.

A Notre Dame transfer from Manitowoc Lincoln, Breese could be a kid who gets significant run as a sophomore. The Tritons have played with size the last few seasons, and with Breese at the Scholastic Live Period, the Tritons played her alongside [player_tooltip player_id='842199' first='Kaia' last='Waldrop']. It's way too much for anyone to ask her to be as productive as someone like Gracie Grzesk, but you can see the mold of a similar player. Breese made perimeter shots, used her size to play around the basket, and played well overall in Appleton. Breese could surprise some people around Green Bay.

The Winneconne guard/wing took most of the Wolves' shots as a newcomer last season, so she was letting that sucker fly when she got space and displayed an ability to make difficult shots. I thought she did an excellent job with the role she had as a 14-year-old kid and showed some things about her game that people took note of and respected, represented by her Second-Team All-East Central Conference selection. I'm unsure where Winneconne is now with conference realignment, but they have a piece they can compete with in [player_tooltip player_id='751291' first='Grace' last='Mitchell'].

Over the summer, I comb over everything from the previous season and look for kids I didn't see last season. Veldkamp is one of the names that stuck out. The 6'1 post from Sheboygan Christian has a versatile skillset that coaches would love. She's shown that she can maneuver around the basket and find ways to score, step out and knock down a jumper, and her mobility on the perimeter is a plus. We'll see what sport she wants to focus on and develop within, but there's a future for her in basketball if she wants to take that path.
