A couple of weeks ago, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2026. With 185 players now either ranked in our Top 75 or a part of our 110-person watch list in 2026, I wanted to take the time to highlight a few girls from each position group. Below is a look at the power forwards and the 39 ladies included in this specific group, followed by some analysis on a handful of those prospects.

Even though Aniyah is the #8 prospect on the PGH Indiana 2026 rankings list, I still feel like she's a bit under-recruited by colleges at this point in time. She has good size and strength, she's a nice all-around athlete, and she plays with one of the best motors in the state. She has touch to the perimeter, she's great in the mid-post, and she's a physical, aggressive rebounder and defender willing to do all of the "little things". All in all, I think she's the type of kid who helps a program win games. I look for her to have a big Winter.

Emery is someone the state is less familiar with, because she isn't a big grassroots participant. She is long, wiry-strong, and very bouncy. She has speed, some quickness, and she's versatile as well. She can knock down a 17-footer or attack the basket and finish. Emery is also comfortable playing in the paint, pursuing rebounds, and blocking shots. She is an excellent volleyball player, and that has drawn a lot of her attention. However, she has been great for Crawford County hoops, and I'd expect another strong high school season from her.

Ava is a very intriguing small college prospect who I think many of the Midwest's better small colleges will be pursuing when we get to April and May. She has some length, solid athleticism, and a quiet toughness to her game. She is comfortable in the mid-post, where she can make a jumper or attack, she has a nose for the ball, and she can defend the interior. At the same time, she has a nice comfort level around the perimeter, and that part of her game is just starting to really take off. With more work, she could be a full-time wing.

Shaniyah is a much more unique type of prospect, not as similar to the other girls on this list. Instead, Shaniyah is a strong, powerful, and very physical forward who almost "bullies" her way through the paint. She has quick feet for her frame, plus she has a balance of skill that can be utilized at each of the three levels. She has some touch to the perimeter, she can put it on the floor a little bit, and she outplays her height in the paint. She is a tough-nosed rebounder/defender, and she is willing to do a lot of those "little things" that help her team win.

Makayla is a long, wiry-strong, athletic forward who has always flashed nice potential. She is somewhat bouncy, and she plays with a motor, but in the past, she has typically been more of a rebounder/defender type. Now, she's starting to show more of an offensive game, with some aggression, especially in the mid-post. At the same time, she's taking care of the ball better and defending better around the perimeter. I would expect with her talent and developing skill, she could possibly help Fishers quite a bit this Winter.
