Change The Game For Good. I don't know if you have picked up the latest SLAM Magazine with Caitlyn Clark on the cover? The caption title of Clark dribbling the ball reads “Undeniable.” However, if you were to flip it over to the back of the magazine, there is an Under Armour ad of 4x NBA Champion Stephen Curry with a caption that reads “Change The Game For Good.” Fitting I know that two stellar athletes who have inspired our culture today that they too can achieve great things. No matter the size, where they may be on the talent level spectrum, one can increase their game and let it take them to new heights.

Those two photos made me think of our sensational 2025 class. I am not saying that any of these girls are like these two phenomenal athletes. What I am saying is that they too in their own right have come in and changed the game, leaving a solid legacy for those behind them to follow. These seniors are suiting up for their final season, leaving their own mark. We have Power 4 kids, mid-major kids, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO kids that playing within these state lines. Kids will go on and play their collegiate career out of state and some within, however, all of these ladies collectively will leave behind an impressive resume.

The 2025 class I will say are some of the more inspirational classes that this state has had. Collectively, it was as if these girls came in as freshmen ready to compete and put the work in. They didn't just rest and wait for their name to be called, they came in looking to make a difference. They wanted all the smoke! They came in looking to compete from Day 1. As we cover them for their final season, you better believe that this class will do everything in their power to make sure their perspective schools will have one heckuva last ride.

This sensational senior will miss this season due to season ending surgery. However, this young lady invigorated a community with her stellar play. Right from the jump, she dazzled the York faithful and brought belief to a community that supported the Lady Dragonettes through and through. Committed to Iowa State, the Lady Cyclones program is getting a dynamic student athlete who will energize the city of Ames and the ISU faithful.

The dual sport athlete could go big time in either volleyball or basketball. This kid is just built differently. She has the pedigree and the accolades that she has accrued over the years, however, she is one of the very few student athletes that has the size that can play inside and out. Normally, someone with her stature is thrown down low. However, she was one of the few kids who started from the outside and would work her way in if need be. She has had a stellar career in Cleveland. She too ignited a program that needed a jolt. Their crosstown rivals have been getting the headlines lately, however, this young lady has helped bring new energy to a storied Lady Raiders program. Look for Lauren to go out with a bang and help propel the Cleveland Lady Raiders to new heights.

We talk about gym rats and this young lady is that and much more. She loves the game of basketball more than anyone I have ever seen. Ella has wowed the Brentwood faithful for years now, breaking school records along the way. Her talents are second to none in the Wilco area, giving opposing coaches fits. I asked one coach who is in another district and they have already started game planning for her because they know in order to advance they have to get through Brentwood. Ella is a multi-level scoring threat who not only can score the rock, but also contributes in every statistical category there is. I love the energy brings to the table and the way she really values her teammates' success. She's the ultimate teammate and a fierce leader. She will be taking her talents to Quinnipiac after this upcoming season. Look for her to go out with a bang.

She is the most selfless basketball player in the state. She could have gone anywhere and been a focal point. However, when she moved into the Bradley Central community, she became a part of a pretty good team. Think KD joining the Warriors. JK. T, is a kid who is a grinder. She can score from multiple spots on the court. She's phenomenal in the paint, contributes on the boards, just gives all out effort. The reason why I call her selfless is because she doesn't mind drawing the tough assignments neutralizing an opponent's best player. That type of versatility is unheard of from someone with that size. She's tough, physical, and such a team player. Beyond basketball, she is an exceptional human being who will go on and be impactful at the next level.

This shifty guard is so fun to watch. The way she handles the ball, knife through defenses, it's like she puts her own Memphis BBQ style to her game. She gets buckets! Then she turns around and locks up her opponent on the defensive end. Has did work in both public and private sectors, either way this kid is talented as all get out. She will be playing for the Lady Bearcats of Cincinnati after this season. They are getting one phenomenal kid who is going to go up there and be an impactful contributor.
