Over my years as a scout in the Midwest and I have rarely had the chance to cover Woodward High School up until this point but all that is about to change with their underclassmen group coming in. Someone that will return to their squad from last year, that I expect to have a breakout season is PG - Elliott Burkle. Burkle plays for [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] during AAU season and she holds her own against some tough competition so it's to no surprise that she showed a lot of promise at this Fall Showcase. In real time she demonstrated skill on both sides of the ball, while being a play-maker in every definition of the phrase. At this point her progression over the years will be key but Burkle is in a great spot moving into her Sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044928' first='Audra' last='Burbridge'] is going to be a Freshman on the floor this Winter for Maquoekta Valley High School and I have a feeling that she is going to be able to see some Varsity minutes for her squad before the season comes to an end but we will have to see how it plays out. Burbridge is a 5'7 CG, that can move between the PG and the SG spot around the outside of the perimeter. She is someone that can either handle and bring up the rock for her team or she can stay off of the ball, making the right play around her whenever it touches her hands. Defensively, she is a guard that can stick in front of several different types of players, it's really just whatever her coaching staff needs out of her at any given time. That versatile ability is going to suit her well in the long run, as long as the stays motivated.

Bella Fogelsong is newer to the sport of basketball but she is slowly gaining experience as she goes out to compete. Fogelsong is someone that will be attending Colfax-Mingo High School and with the right guidance, she could turn into a producer at the Varsity level over her career. She already has a respectable handle on the ball, she looks fundamental while taking open shots, and she isn't a slacker on the defensive end. Not to mention, she has one of the best attitudes on the court that I've seen in a few years. If there is a bad situation unfolding, she keeps positivity and makes sure everyone around her is doing alright. Those are two things that really standout to anyone watching and I'm sure that other evaluators/recruiters, feel the same way.

Southeast Polk has a system with a lot of talent at every grade level. You could even venture to say that they have prospects in every grade, that could compete at the collegiate level in some form/facet, by the time that they get to their Senior year. Someone out of the 2028 Class coming in, who has caught some attention is [player_tooltip player_id='1044943' first='Kalyn' last='Litwiler']. Litwiler is going to have to find her niche within her team's system and figure out what she does best but at this event, she was one of the better individuals competing. She didn't standout as a negative influence in any way and she made some solid plays with the basketball in her possession. All in all, those are things she should be proud of and things she could use as momentum moving forward.

This was one of the first times that I have had an opportunity to see [player_tooltip player_id='1044958' first='Prescilla' last='Rangel'] of North Scott High School compete and she did a good job of using her mixture of length and skill to standout in her own ways throughout the day. Rangel is someone that competes at the Forward/Combo Guard position and she understands what she does best for her team. Her self-awareness makes her a tough player to stay in front of as she always seems to know where to move on the court. Other than that, when she has an open look offensively, she does a good job of making the opponent pay, even though I wouldn't say that she stands out because of her scoring. She more-so stands out cause of her work ethic and dedication to her team. North Scott this Winter is going to be a group that has to figure out their identity early on in the year. If they can do that, the rest should go swimmingly with prospects like Rangel on their roster.
