The best way to describe Isabelle Foglesong’s play on the court is composed and in-control. There is never a time were she is too sped up or seems out of sorts. Instead, she takes what the opponent gives her without forcing any silly mistakes a majority of the time. Last Winter at Colfax Foglesong did the little things well on both sides of the ball. She averaged decent numbers as a whole and was a main part of her team’s success in most outings. This AAU season I’m looking to see if she can take it up a notch. She has proven herself in some tight games throughout her career and now it’s time to do it on the road against a higher level of competition.

“Foglesong demonstrates some good things when she is competing on the hardwood. She has situational awareness and the patience to see things unfold in front of her, she knows when to be aggressive in certain spots, and she knows when to pass and move away from the play to give the others around her space. Today we have seen a little bit of everything out of Foglesong. She has definitely added onto her game from last year and that’s going to help her produce some positive numbers this Winter at Colfax-Mingo.”

When it comes to dedicated players of the game, look no further than Isabelle Foglesong Isabelle Foglesong 5'8" | SG Colfax | 2028 IA of Colfax High School and Lady Pure Prep AAU. Fogelsong loves the game, she seems to be gaining confidence over-time, and she is sticking with it. When you have that combination of things, it can take you to some places in this game and I’m exciting to see where that is. Foglesong led Colfax last Winter in a lot of aspects at the Varsity level. Let’s see how she follows that up this upcoming season!

A school that we haven’t touched on too much over the years is Colfax-Mingo High School but that is slowly changing with the type of players that they are bringing on board within their program. Specifically within their underclassman group. The current leader in PPG for the Tigerhawks is SG, Isabelle Foglesong Isabelle Foglesong 5'8" | SG Colfax | 2028 IA . Foglesong is currently averaging just over 10 PPG on 36% shooting and 1.9 APG each evening. These numbers might not jump off the page but they do help the cause. We have to remember, this is just the start. There is a lot of learning going on across the board here within this group but Foglesong has begun off her high school career with a solid start and that is respectable from an outside point-of-view.

Bella Fogelsong is newer to the sport of basketball but she is slowly gaining experience as she goes out to compete. Fogelsong is someone that will be attending Colfax-Mingo High School and with the right guidance, she could turn into a producer at the Varsity level over her career. She already has a respectable handle on the ball, she looks fundamental while taking open shots, and she isn’t a slacker on the defensive end. Not to mention, she has one of the best attitudes on the court that I’ve seen in a few years. If there is a bad situation unfolding, she keeps positivity and makes sure everyone around her is doing alright. Those are two things that really standout to anyone watching and I’m sure that other evaluators/recruiters, feel the same way.

Colfax-Mingo High School is primarily a smaller school out of Iowa and that is going to line things up perfectly for Isabelle Foglesong Isabelle Foglesong 5'8" | SG Colfax | 2028 IA to come in and make a difference. Fogleson is a 5’8 SG, that does a great job of playing off the ball and producing while doing so. This AAU season for her Lady Pure Prep team, Foglesong has shown up in every game that she competes in. She makes some great efforts play, she locks in on defense, and she can knock down some shots from deep on the perimeter off of the catch or even the dribble. With the Tigerhawks, I’m hoping that she can take this momentum and ride it into their season. She is skilled enough, she just needs to play with confidence and the rest will be history.
