To become the best version of yourself in any facet of life, you have to work on the right things, at the correct pace. That pace is something that is determined person by person, as everyone is different. In this article we highlight six prospects that competed at our Fall Showcase a few weeks ago. Each player is someone that has shown some powerful progression over their personal journey on the court and they demonstrated that in person at this event.

From the first time that I saw [player_tooltip player_id='1044931' first='Callie' last='Stull'] last year, to now, is much different. Stull is a guard that brings a positive attitude, good communication, and some solid skill to the floor. She is someone that has had steady progression over the past couple of years and if she continues with that trend, she will find herself in a producing situation as an upperclassman at Ankeny High School. Against prospects her own age, Stull does whatever is needed and she is usually successful because of it. She is someone that is going to be a solid role player at the Varsity level one day and I'm exciting for when that time comes.

Alburnett High School will have a better than average prospect coming into their program this Winter in the form of PG - [player_tooltip player_id='1044948' first='Kylie' last='Cushman']. Cushman demonstrated at this event that she is years above her grade level in skill on the court and that all stems from the mental side of her game. Mentally, Cushman is savvy as to when she should do, what. Against prospects around her age, she competes like a seasoned veteran with a calm demeanor, showing to everyone that the moment is never too big for someone like herself. I'll be in attendance to see Cushman and her team compete over this next six months. If she plays anything like she did at this Showcase, she is going to be just fine over her high school career.

I am intrigued at the situation at Southeast Polk High School this Winter and how it will unfold. If their main producer and facilitator can have her best season to date and others step up in big moments, then they are in for a Winter to remember. If not, it'll be interesting to see how they adapt as a group. One of their guards out of the 2027 Class, that will be looked upon for some production in important moments this season is SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1044959' first='Presley' last='Zeutenhorst']. Zeutenhorst is a coordinated ball player, that understands her role and what is happening on the floor around her. By the looks of it, she has continuously gotten better over time and hopefully that trend continues moving forward. Her solid shooting stroke, her footwork while attacking, and her selfless-ness to help the ones around her shined through at this event. Which is something that everyone loves to see.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044953' first='Macy' last='Meyer'] is going to be a vital piece to her DCG Mustangs process over the next three seasons if she has anything to do about it. Meyer has always showed promise on both sides of the floor and this Winter won't be much different. She will be looked upon to make open jumpers and to get stops defensively on alike sized players. The Mustangs are going to bring their impressive system into each game and it's going to get everyone some open looks in the grand scheme of things. Meyer is coming off of a respectable AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] team and she is ready to ride for her Sophomore season.

This entire article is about players progression and their process of becoming the best version of themselves on the hardwood. Someone that should stay true to both of these things is PG - [player_tooltip player_id='1044955' first='Natalie' last='Schechinger'] of IC Liberty High School. Shechinger should trust the process and play her role. If she does that, she is going to be someone that we see competing at the Varsity level before you know it. This is someone that showed out as one of the most fundamental prospects at our event throughout the day. She showed some promise with the ball in her possession coming down the court and that is not something that applies to everybody.

The Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays are a program that is filled with impressive talent from top to bottom on their roster but especially at the underclassman levels. One of the players from their group that I will be keeping an eye on is [player_tooltip player_id='1044964' first='Tiara' last='Berggren']. Berggren comes from a family of competitive athletes and she is someone that is going to be able to hold her own throughout the state as she gets older. She plays with a traditional play-style at the PG position and she doesn't seem to veer off the path too often to hurt her team in many ways. As long as their is a solid system in place around her and the team can get stops defensively, then they are going to be a group to notice over the next couple of years. They just have to put a common goal in place and the rest could be history.
