“There are times when PZ just dominates her competition while going to the paint off the dribble. She really stands out as having an explosive dribble while attacking her defender and she has the ability to finish in a plethora of different ways once she gets closer to the hoop. She can also step out and hit a jumper from deep when she has the time and spacing on the outside. Not to mention, she is a good teammate, who brings the positive vibes. That can be a big help when things start to get intense throughout a contest.”

didn’t play this AAU season. Instead, she locked in while training, trying to become a little better each day. Well this event is going to help us understand the work that PZ has put in. She has always been a sound player overall with some college level skill in some aspects of the game. If she has built onto that, she should be a shoe-in for some major minutes this Winter at SE Polk. The SE Polk Rams will lose most of their production from year’s past so there will be ample opportunities to start the season. If players like PZ can show their worth early on, I’m sure they will like where things take them over the next couple of years.

Southeast Polk will be looking for production from all Class levels over the next few years on the Varsity floor. Someone who should have a good-go at it is

at the SG/CG position. Zuetenhorst has a better than average touch on the ball, situational awareness, all paired with a high-end work ethic. There aren’t too many out there that outwork PZ. She knows to make the most out of the opportunities she is given and I think we will see that a lot over the next 6-8 months. This is a program that will rely on their guard-play with their star PF/C out due to injury over the next eight months, so there will be opportunities for others to make their mark and I think PZ is in that conversation.

PZ has forged her own path during her high school career on the hardwood. She is someone that has competed for years on the AAU floor during her off-seasons but this year she decided to stay out of that and just train in her free time. It can be tough when you are trying to figure out some things but this work has let PZ understand herself and her overall play-style. She seems to understand what she really needs to hone in on and what she needs to do to see competitive minutes at the varsity level over the next two years. Southeast Polk is going to be guard heavy this Winter so PZ is going to have her chances just like everyone else on roster. If she makes the most of these opportunities, she should put up respectable numbers until the end of her high school career.

of Southeast Polk. This AAU season Zeutenhorst decided not to play and to just train in her off-time. Well the training must be working out because she was knocking down deep shots in this one, playing stingy defense, and being the ultimate teammate as a communicator and effort player. When you break down PZ’s game, you see that she is more of an off-the-ball prospect, that can make a lot happen with a little amout of time or space. She produces without having to have the ball in her possession for the most part and that’s more important than people think. That’s something that will translate to the next level, once she finally gets there in a couple of years.

of Southeast Polk is a player that is going to be able to produce in the right system in college, if that’s what she chooses to do. Zeutenhorst is a SG with an aggressive offensive mindset and a solid foundation. She doesn’t try to do things that are too flashy, instead she uses her smarts to make things happen on both ends. She possesses a coordinated handle, a sweet shooting stroke, and she can finish at the rim on either side or she can finish with a floater in the mid-range when she has some space. Defensively, she is the type that isn’t afraid to mix it up physicality with anyone that might be bigger or even smaller than herself. She understands where her advantages usually stand within a specific contest, something which helps play into her overall game. From my understanding, this Spring/Summer Zeutenhorst is going to skip AAU season and train to get better in her off-time. Everyone’s journey is different so as long as she grows as a person and player in this off-time, I’m sure it’s the right choice.

The SE Polk roster is a deep one at the Varsity level as it houses 15 players, that all dress to compete. Someone out of their underclassmen group, who could be a factor for the Rams over time is SG – Presley Zeutenhorst. Zeutenhorst falls into our Top 50 for ranked players in the state because of her shooting ability off of the ball, high motor, better than average defense, and willingness to take advice in real time. From a recruitment standpoint, this is a player that checks off a lot of boxes that collegiate recruiters have. She just needs to continue to have opportunities to demonstrate that. I think over the rest of this season, she should see the Varsity floor on more of a consistent basis but I guess we will have to wait and see.

I am intrigued at the situation at Southeast Polk High School this Winter and how it will unfold. If their main producer and facilitator can have her best season to date and others step up in big moments, then they are in for a Winter to remember. If not, it’ll be interesting to see how they adapt as a group. One of their guards out of the 2027 Class, that will be looked upon for some production in important moments this season is SG – Presley Zeutenhorst. Zeutenhorst is a coordinated ball player, that understands her role and what is happening on the floor around her. By the looks of it, she has continuously gotten better over time and hopefully that trend continues moving forward. Her solid shooting stroke, her footwork while attacking, and her selfless-ness to help the ones around her shined through at this event. Which is something that everyone loves to see.

If the Southeast Polk Rams want to win games that matter this upcoming season, they are going to have to trust in prospects out of the 2027 Class. One of them being SG,

. Zeutenhorst is going to step onto the Varsity floor this Winter with a big role to fill. She is a knockdown SG when she has time/space and her team’s Varsity PG is going to be able to create that for her. As long as their coaching staff understands not to over-due that and they also run some motion or other solid sets, they should see some success during the 2024-2025 season with Zeutenhorst putting up respectable numbers across the board at the same time.

is going to have a chance to step onto the Varsity floor this Winter and make an impact with her Southeast Polk Rams team in a number of different ways. When I saw this group compete at the DCG Mustangs shootout a few weeks ago, it was evident that they were trying out some new offense’s and figuring out how they were going to use their prospects throughout a contest. With their star PG,

returning for her Senior season, the other guards around her are going to have to produce once teams start to game plan against her and one of those guards will be Zeutenhorst. This program has 3-4 prospects out of the 2027 Class, who will be looked upon for a lot of production in the scoring department, as well as on the defensive side of the ball. As long as Presley stays motivated, she plays to her strengths, and she understands situational basketball, she could put up some eye opening numbers before the 2024-2025 season comes to a close.
