With social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram becoming a foundation for billions across the globe, these special prospects are taking advantage of the benefits in them. Their posts are of games, practices, workouts, visits, camps, and even PGH coverage from other states they've attended the circuit in! Wow! That's not all, they inspired me to write this with a twist, exploiting their behind-the-scenes work on their future careers. It's all about "likes" and these student athletes are putting their all on, off, and behind the court. Evaluations came from footage "all" on Twitter. Each prospect's evaluation came from content published on their accounts. It's humbling to see players post about their progress in the sport we love. I'm honored to be able to cover student athletes in a state like Arkansas and for a network that's giving them a voice!

Starting off with [player_tooltip player_id='1091190' first='Journey' last='Jefferson'], whose name is special in itself! This 5'7, 2-way guard from Earle will be highly ranked by the end of the season! A bold prediction, but this sophomore has the potential to be great in Arkansas girls' basketball. Jefferson is shifty and has combo moves I speak of other players developing. This All-Conference 1st Team player has a solid left hand, and she loves to probe the paint, waiting for defenses to get out of position. Her IQ is way beyond her peers in Arkansas 2A Region 3. I enjoyed watching her workouts and her work ethic is incredible. She plays for [program_tooltip program_id='712659' first='Mavs' last='Elite'] GUAA. Journey posted a workout as I was writing this. Amazing! Her cross over is crisp and can break ankles if opposers aren't careful. She absorbs contact when driving to the basket and can finish with either hand over defenders. #3 is patient and aggressive. Journey wears her heart on her sleeve when playing and it shows in this mature student athlete. 41 points in 2A Championship game versus BIC says it all! You heard it here 1st, the "Journey" begins!

https://twitter.com/JourneyJ2027

Coming off of an ACL surgery in late 2023, this senior has worked twice as hard to get back to playing. Dixie plays volleyball and basketball for Paragould High School, and club basketball for [program_tooltip program_id='712398' first='Arkansas' last='Lady Bandits']. She's athletic and had an incredible 19 digs this past September in a volleyball match vs. Batesville! Standing at 5'8, she looks like she hasn't lost a step and has a quick 1st step as well! #10 can spot up shoot, as well as drive and penetrate. Dribbling moves and counter moves to get around quicker defenders will come in time. Playing dual sports has its advantages and volleyball goes hand in hand with basketball in certain instances. Like most sports, hand-eye coordination, running, and jumping is a requirement. Williams has all of those aspects as a student athlete. This tough guard expresses her love for sports through hard work and dedication. A " Never Give Up" attitude is what got her on this list and be on the lookout for more from Dixie!

https://twitter.com/dixiewilliamsss

This super sophomore is very familiar with PGH and finally has an evaluation from her home state. Bailey is coming off a fabulous season with Beebe High School earning 5A All State Tournament Team and 5A Central All Conference honors. A long guard who dribbles very well, Bailey is mainly a solid scorer. Barton's patience on offense allows her to dictate her moves while dribbling and picking apart defenses. She participated in the 2024 PGH Circuit with club team [program_tooltip program_id='712401' first='Arkansas' last='Sting'] and was featured in articles from Oklahoma and Texas PGH representatives. At 5'7, she uses all of her length and size to drive ball in the lane and to get rebounds. Strength and speed will mature with her game. Can knockdown the 3 ball consistently if needed, but this one's a slasher and loves the tough two's and 3 the hard ways! I'm impressed with #14's eagerness to get better. Her workouts were great to watch and shows the "student of the game" side of her. Rankings will be crazy, and Barton has paid her dues to a well-deserved ranking when the time comes ...Stay Tuned!

This one is the inspiration for the article after she followed me on...Twitter! This talent of an athlete is truly amazing! She is the highlight of the article for several reasons but mainly because of her work ethic and pure shooting ability. Posts of her shooting workouts, games, and accomplishments are fantastic. Bergman High School Girls Basketball Team won the 3A State Championship with 2 freshman and Halitzka was a key factor in their success. Jacey had a game high last season of 32pts, shooting 6-7 from 3, and finishing 13-17 from the field. WOW! Her workouts consist of making 50 plus three pointers in under 3 minutes! The results of that type of drive led this amazing talent to hitting 99 three pointers last season...That's right, one shy of 100. She's apart of [program_tooltip program_id='848943' first='MO' last='Phenom Arkansas 2027'] and played in PGH circuit this past summer. #1 attended top prospect camps like Boo Williams and have been featured in articles across the region. Jacey is positioning herself to be on the radar in 24-25 and it will be an exciting season for this " Arkansas Phenom"!

I really enjoyed writing this piece and how social media platforms are a huge factor and the great things coaches, recruits, and scouts can find on players while using them. All of my content came from Twitter and the families, coaches and support net these select have that post their progress and achievements!
