Hopefully everyone had wonderful vibes and time spent with loved ones this week. Right before the holiday, the 2027 rankings dropped. '27 has tremendous talent throughout the point guard position. Without a doubt a group that has a bunch of next level talent. This is the first update to the class this school season and there's not a better time other than now to discuss the latest. There're over 90 girls ranked in this curated list from all over New England; below are the top point guards mentioned from the class of '27.

Use code MBG30 for 30% off your first purchase of any subscription.

[player_tooltip player_id='967273' first='Tiffany' last='Burns'] (2027) | 5'9 PG | Austin Prep

What a terrific point guard Burns is. She is the #1 player at the position and for good reason. She's incredibly shifty, with a sense of heightened aggressive downhill force. Her feel for the game is extraordinary. Tiffany is fast and dynamic with the ball in her hands. The ball handling is essentially on a string, so she can freely move around the floor without limitations. She's a 3-level scorer that isn't afraid of big moments either. She has the daring qualities to take over games and she is very confident with the ball in her hand. There just aren't too many guards that can produce the way she does. She raises the ceiling of play on the floor.

Burns has a couple offers from Providence, Merrimack and Boston College.

[player_tooltip player_id='351875' first='Alannah' last='Morantus'] (2027) | 6'0 PG | Cushing

One of the highest ceilings in high school basketball currently, Morantus is a player that's immensely talented and versatile. Alannah is a lengthy lead guard that has the ability to play on or off the ball. Alannah will simply find a way to leave her imprint on the game. Her tough demeanor allowed her to play at a high-level with players that were at least 3 years older than her in AAU. She found success out there and made a name for herself too, something many players would struggle doing at this point in their career. Alannah is a 3-level scorer that demonstrates awesome creation skills. She knows her spots on the floor and gets to where she wants, no matter the caliber of defender on her. She has the option to overwhelm smaller players in dominant fashion while also posing a major threat to defenses with her prominent shooting ability. Whether its off the dribble or a spotting up, Morantus is a major threat. On the other side of the ball, Alannah can be a menace. She offers stifling defensive capabilities that can be used all over the floor. Her skills aren't just one-sided either. She can individually slow down the other team's top scorer, be the perfect help defender or even be the primary rover up in the press.

Watch for Morantus to use that driving force from the offseason to help thrust her into early success through the season. She is the #2 ranked point guard and #3 overall player in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='518717' first='Anna' last='Moser'] (2027) | 5'8 PG | Hoosac

Anna's game is one that is beautiful to watch. She plays the right way yet has this spectacular flair that's just dazzling to witness. Anna leads with floor general tendencies, but is far more than just a facilitator. Moser gets others involved easily and gets the ball out her hands quickly with snap passes that hit her target. Anna can feed shooters with a flurry of different passes that included snazzy onehanded flings that still usher players into easy points. Moser also has 3-level scoring ability that she decisively uses and because of her high IQ, she keeps defenders uneasy because they're not sure what she'll do.

Moser might be in the running for the most offers in the class at the moment which include schools like Harvard, UMass, BC, URI, Fairfield, Northeastern, Bryant and George Washington.

[player_tooltip player_id='352996' first='Iyanna' last='Hodge'] (2027) | 5'4 PG | Wilbraham & Monson

The energy and effort are never to be questioned with Hodge. She's a player that will leave it all on the floor. Iyanna is flying around until the whistle blows. She's a player with a deceptive appearance that has a fierce mentality and is a remarkable competitor. She has amazing speed that allows her to beat defenders to the spot. Not only does she have the tenacity needed to go to war in the trenches, but she's also a playmaker that comes through in crucial times. It doesn't matter if it's on the offensive side of the ball or defensively, Hodge will leave her mark on the floor. The hustle she shows on defense allows her to chase players down or get over screens quickly. Iyanna has that essential footspeed needed to hound point guards up the floor. Regularly she'll sacrifice her body, take a charge or tie the loose balls up. Hodge is a vital piece to defensive schemes and super capable of maintaining scoring guards due to her powers of opening up her hips while still remaining attached and engaged.

Not everyone in the region is familiar with Mairs' game, but that won't be for long. Gyselle is a 3-level scorer that's one of the best talents in all of Rhode Island public schools, regardless of the class. She logged heavy minutes while carrying substantial responsibilities for her team. The productivity plus her capacity to naturally play the game at high level should be spoken for. Gyselle plays basketball like its poetry. Her exceptional pace work in the halfcourt and in transition. She's a clever ballhandler that can break players down with her dribble, but she typically uses it to help facilitate comfortably. Mairs can make any pass on the floor and she uses her scoring opportunities to get easier looks for others. The defense needs to be mentioned too. She isn't afraid of guarding players on an island, nor is she intimidated by guarding off-ball scorers as well. Gyselle likes to bait players into mistakes and loves to make plays on the ball.

Mairs is the #4 ranked point guard and #13 in the entire class.
