The Saturday after Thanksgiving is always a day loaded with scrimmages and playdays and this year was no different. I made my rounds to two multi-team playdays and a scrimmage in Anne Arundel County in one day. Here are some interesting prospects I scouted.

Ashley King, Winston-Churchill, 2028, Point Guard

Very athletic and speedy point guard with a nice passing game. She's very crafty with the ball and has a deadly shot out to three-point range. She dished out quite a few nice passes to her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='801976' first='Damia' last='Worthy'], Oxon Hill, 2025, Combo Guard

Scoring point guard that got to the basket easily and consistently. She finished in a number of ways and stretched the defense with her ability to make shots from deep. Exceptional athlete with a lot of confidence and poise. She's still unsigned and should be in the running for PG county player of the year consideration.

[player_tooltip player_id='797731' first='Vanessa' last='Carmichael'], Crofton, 2025, Wing

Vanessa didn't have her best shooting day, but she did a few things to help her team. She played with toughness in the paint and on the boards which was something her team needed. She used her length wingspan to frustrate ball handlers, and even though she didn't shoot well she kept attacking the basket and getting to the foul line. She's an unsigned senior that could definitely help a program at the next level.

Christian Wigfall, Oxon Hill, 2027. Guard

Small guard that played really big on defense. She was relentless in applying full court pressure, hounding ball handlers and turning them over. She's very disruptive and should be a big part of Oxon Hill's defensive attack this season. I like her aggressiveness in getting to the basket and drawing fouls. She's fearless and fun to watch.

Nya Jackson, Blake, 2027, Guard

Lefty guard that defended well on the perimeter and knocked down some shots from the mid-range and out to the three-point line.

[player_tooltip player_id='816267' first='Kayla' last='Kamya'], Blake, 20226, Guard

Strong on-ball defender with active hands and good footwork. She's a slasher on offense and made some strong finishes in the paint. She knocked down a couple of threes as well, so she has range.
