CR Kennedy: Fab Freshmen

She knows how to handle the ball and reads screens well, especially as a freshman. I was impressed with a possession in practice where Wedemeier juked a defender with a head fake and hit a step back three pointer. She's a pesky defender that isn't afraid to make ball handlers uncomfortable, and she's confident stepping out and shooting from deep - even with a hand in her face. She was all over the floor in practice - diving on loose balls, switching out hard on defenders, and even guarding the center at times. She's got no fear, which is rare to see as a newcomer. In addition she's got solid fundamentals - she can finish on either side of the basket and has a smooth jumper. Dill has the skillset and leadership to be the difference-maker this year and I believe she will be a truly special player. The 5'7" freshman guard is explosive off the dribble, crafty attacking defenders, has a very smooth jumper, and is a great communicator. She already stands out in practice as an impact player and I am so excited to see Dill in action this year in the green and gold.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
