Rhionnna Matthews was tied last Winter in APG throughout the state of Nebraska at 6.4, tying Elkhorn North star - Britt Prince. Matthews is going to return this Winter knowing how well she did a season ago and wanting to put together an even better year this time around. She is someone that embodies what it means to be a game organizer and a leader on a few different fronts but most importantly - she makes everyone else around her better and that ability is one that most don't have at the high school level. As long as she plays to her strengths and continues to grind, she is going to be someone we mention multiple times over this upcoming season.

Leyton High School will return some productive prospects to the Varsity floor from years past, one being PG/SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1005077' first='Shawnee' last='Gamble']. Gamble comes in at 5'5, she is solid while having the rock, her vision is impressive, and she knows what kind of pass to make depending on who is catching the ball from her on an Assist. Within our Top 100 2025 players, Gamble just made the cut off moving into this season and she is looking to build on that over these next six months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056435' first='Macy' last='Miller'] of Hampton High School recorded positive stats in every statistical category last Winter as a Junior. In the end she averaged 2.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 4.4 APG, and 1.4 SPG. This is a major jump from the years prior so that shows me that Miller is going to be prepared for an even greater season looking ahead. She is someone with a high motor, strong work ethic, and a lot of love for the game. When you combined all of those with fast feet, active hands, a smart mental game, and the willingness to take criticism, you usually get a productive star so we will see how this plays out.

I'm always going to have the question of how good can [player_tooltip player_id='893265' first='Zoe' last='Beveridge'] be? Beveridge has shown off on the Varsity floor and the national AAU floor, that she can do everything asked of her at the guard position. She can either play the 1 or the 2, she can knock down open jumpers off the catch or dribble, she can get to the middle of the defense with her adaptability, and she can handle her matchups on defense between both spots. At Gothenburg, she is the future as their Top Dawg. She is someone that can easily take over the game and that was on full display during her Freshman campaign, so now we just have to see how she is going to follow that up.

The past few years, York High School has been playing some respectable ball across the state. Someone who is going to be vital in their future success is going to be 2027 PG - [player_tooltip player_id='817148' first='Kinslee' last='Kern']. Kern is a student of the game. Someone that loves the process of becoming better, while not only looking at the end result. Those players are the one's who can take things to the next level. On the court, Kern has promise with a decently high ceiling. She is someone that has shown an experienced game in moments but in reality, she is still learning. If she steps onto the floor this Winter with confidence and she understands how to apply her off-season work, I think she is going to be a major player for this program. She should ultimately control a lot by the time she becomes an upperclassmen and that is something I can't wait to see.
