TKA Lady Lions: Ready to Roar in Upcoming Season

There is an old saying “Built Ford Tough,” well these you ladies are definitely built tough. They have size and speed that will enable themselves to carve up their district and non conference foes with precision. These girls are on a mission to reach the pinnacle of competing for a state championship. Yes, they have to play the games and you can't crown them yet, but expect these young ladies to rise as queens of the jungle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last season, the Lady Lions finished 24-9 overall, 13-3 in the district, only losing to CAK in their district three times. Let's just say this club reloaded, looking to take the next step of hoisting the gold ball. The last two years, this team has made final four appearances, only to go down in triumph and defeat. However, these young ladies are laser focused and determined to rise above this upcoming season. Led by Coach Dante Turnipseed, this team has a solid inside/out attack. They have girls who can shoot it at a high clip from the arc, dominate the paint, create havoc on the defensive end, and win the rebounding war. With the size they have, that shot is only going up one time and that's it. No second chance shots whatsoever.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This group will definitely be fun to watch. What I do want everyone to know is that they will push the ball up the floor at pace, but also grind away in the half court set. Primed and ready to make a run at the state title, these girls play fierce and fast, they won't be held back from capturing greatness. A heady basketball player who is poised with the ball in her hands. A multi-level scoring threat who can create off the dribble, drop dimes to her teammates, and contribute on the defensive end. Each and every year, this kid gets better, adding something to her game. I have never seen her rest on her past success, getting better every time she steps onto the floor. She has experience and been battle tested, once of the top girls in her class. Look for her to be a leader of this Lady Lions club and help them reach new heights. Any missed shots, this girl has a knack for getting extra possessions for her ball club. She's a phenomenal defender, blocking shots, getting deflections. A physical low post player who is a nightly double-double machine, Brady adds value to her club every time she steps onto the floor. She's a heady basketball player who can face up or play with her back to the basket. Great in the screen game, it really doesn't matter what offensive set, she is talented enough to exploit any defense. One of the leaders on this ball club, look for her to make this season a magical run as she looks to bring home the gold ball for her school. This kid has eclipsed multiple records and she isn't done yet. A heady basketball player who doesn't force the issue. High B-Ball IQ. A technician of the game, this kid is fundamentally sound and has tremendous makeup. A tough competitor who competes on both ends of the floor. She hits every single statistical category, contributing to the Lady Lions attack. Look for her to continue on an upwards trajectory and increase her stock. She has had a tremendous travel ball season and performed well at camps and showcases. She will bring that same momentum and energy into this season and help the Lady Lions over the top. For starters, she has height and definitely uses it to her advantage. What I like about her game is her ability to rebound the basketball. She is a rim runner, looking for anything over the top to finish. Offensively, she has nice back to the basket moves, and can go over either shoulder. Defensively,  she protects the paint, blocking shots and grabbing boards. A special player who is going to be impactful for this Lady Lions ball club. A selfless ball player, she hustles each and every possession, doing whatever it takes to give her club an advantage. A solid basketball player who just loves to compete. Look for her to star in her role and help this team rise above the competition. A hustler who contributes big time on both ends of the floor. She does the little things that some people overlook. Offensively, she can shoot the 3 ball, put it up from the mid-range, and obtain offensive boards, giving her squad extra possessions. Defensively, she is a solid defender who grabs boards, takes charges, dives on the floor for loose balls.
