Lewis brings a savvy play-style, smart awareness, an effortless scoring ability, and some positive leadership to the hardwood and those are just a few of the reasons that she holds onto this top spot in the 2026 Class moving into 2025. To kick off this Winter season, Lewis has been the leader that her teammates look to when they need a big play to be made and she always comes through. Even though they haven't had too many close contests so far, it's still been impressive to watch Lewis grow as a leader over these past three months. At the D1 level, it'll be fun to see what program she takes her talents too at the end of the day but for right now, I'm sure she is locked in on the present season in front of her.

[player_tooltip player_id='502100' first='Macy' last='Comito'], an Iowa State Women's Basketball commit, falls into the situation where she might not play for the biggest program at the high school level in the state but that really doesn't matter. She has more than proven over the past twelve months that she is a next-level talent on a national scale against elite competition and that's only going to help her shine even more on the high school floor over the next two seasons, until she gets to the cyclones' roster. This is a guard with size, a tight handle, elite vision, an efficient shooting ability off the dribble, and a ferocious attitude. She has been a staple player across the state for two years now so far and I'm sure that trend will continue until she graduates to the next level.

For the first time we have [player_tooltip player_id='582813' first='Ellie' last='Muller'] moving up to the #3 spot in this Update. Muller gained momentum in this ranking because of her natural height at 6'3, her athletic ability on both sides of the ball, and the fact that she is slowly working on the weaknesses within her game - making her extremely dangerous. You always hear the phrase, you can't teach height and that's the truth. When you have someone at this size and they are slowly starting to show off a guard ability, more and more as they grow through high school, it's eye-opening. Not only from a state-wide standpoint but from a national one as well. At the end of the day, I have Muller as a Power 4 commit, who will most likely compete at the 4 position depending on the lineup around her. Right now, she is really good and seeming to only getting better with time and experience. If she stays on this pace, she will end up being in the conversation for the #2 spot at the end of the day as well.

I will always have a lot of respect for [player_tooltip player_id='342205' first='Jayla' last='Williams'] and the type of fire that she brings with her whenever she competes. Williams is always willing to defend the best prospect on the opposing team and that usually leads to a lot of wins for her squad. It might be early in this Winter season but Williams has already shown off that she is one of the top defending guards, that the state of Iowa has to offer at any age level. I am not sure where Williams will commit to yet but she has several options, from all around the Country. So as long as she takes her time and enjoys the process, I'm sure she will find the place that feels like homer, sooner rather than later.

[player_tooltip player_id='612984' first='Alyvia' last='McCorkle']'s production to kick off the 2024 - 2025 high school season has been noteworthy from a statistical standpoint and from a general viewing standpoint. McCorkle has a calculated dribble, a willingness to attack the defense once she gets down hill, and a flame thrower from deep once she see's one of her shots go in. She has been the leader that her Bettendorf High School team has needed so far and I think everyone is going to build off of that. I don't expect McCorkle to commit until after her next AAU season but who knows. This is another individual with multiple D1 offers, so it's really going to be what she wants at the end of the day. Something we can all respect from an outside point of view.
