[player_tooltip player_id='1091292' first='Kamryn' last='Fink'] has come on as the most impressive 2028 so far by my standards. Fink competes for Highland High School and throughout her team's two games, she is averaging over 22 PPG. It's also important to note that she is scoring this much, while shooing a high percentage from all over the floor and she is putting up positive numbers in other statistic categories as well. As the season presses on, we will really start to get a real grasp of what Fink can do. So far she looks like a compete guard, that has just been better than everyone else she has had to face off against so far. If that continues to be the case all Winter long, it's going to be interesting to see where she can take things.

One of the tallest prospects that the state of Iowa has to offer is [player_tooltip player_id='1091301' first='Brielle' last='Hoegh'] of MOC - Floyd Valley High School. Hoegh is listed at 6'1, she competes at the Forward position, and she has already had some solid performances under her belt at the Varsity level to kick off this Winter. This is a situation where Hoegh will be blessed to play off of the production of their main producer, [player_tooltip player_id='347823' first='Adyson' last='Jeltema']. Most opposing teams are going to center their attention around Jeltema and because of that, Hoegh will have 1v1 matchups and big holes within the defense. Now when it comes to her individual play, Hoegh should dominate with her size but we will have to see. If she is put in favorable positions and decides to act first, think later. She should do quite well these next few months.

Sioux Central has been a squad that has been relevant the past few seasons because of their production and overall winning percentage. This is a roster that has several talented players, that embody what it means to play as a team. An underclassmen for this program, that is going to be a contributor with her time on the Varsity floor this next 3.5 years is SG/CG - [player_tooltip player_id='1091302' first='Sage' last='Weber']. Not only does Weber have size, wherewithal, and athletic ability. She can also shoot it at a high rate from distance when she has time and she seems to thrive under pressure. Sioux Central is going to be in the conversation for State once again this season if things go to plan. If they want to win once they are there though, prospects like Weber are going to have to contribute and that's something that could very easily happen, looking at things from an outside perspective at this moment in time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044928' first='Audra' last='Burbridge'] is a PG that is versatile, she possesses a picture perfect jump shot with great balance and extension on her release, she understands how to create for others, and she is willing to do whatever is needed for her team to see some success. Burbridge should see the Varsity floor a good amount this season at MV. In their first event of the Winter, Burbridge saw time and made some respectable plays. This is someone that is going to have to stack days moving forward to really unlock her full potential but right now, she should put together a better than average Freshman season with her high school program.

We have mentioned [player_tooltip player_id='896412' first='Jenna' last='Dunlap'] a few times prior to this Player Rankings Update release because she is someone that should put up some numbers at Camanche over this next three months. Dunlap comes into her Freshman year as a 5'11 PF, that controls the painted area and all the action that is happening between the blocks on both ends of the floor. I first had the privilege of seeing Dunlap compete with her [program_tooltip program_id='712577' first='Iowa' last='Prep'] program about 8 months ago and she stood out as a constant for her team. I expect much of the same out of her at Varsity level this Winter. She might not "wow" anyone away but she plays some hard-nosed basketball and that is all you can ask for from a coaching perspective.

Williamsburg kicked off this season on Saturday, securing a big win against Monticello High School in the Rivalry Saturday event at Kirkwood CC in Cedar Rapids. In this win, the group as a whole showed a lot of things and their star's shined. Someone that stood out to myself was their Freshan PF - [player_tooltip player_id='1093413' first='Kylee' last='Suhr']. Suhr is a player that stands at 6'0 and she is a multiple sport athlete with a ton of upside. She demonstrates that she has a high motor and she competes with a lot of energy when her number is being called. With this addition to their squad, it's not crazy to think this group could win 15-17 games this Winter on their way to the Playoffs. Suhr is going to get her chances in brief stints so as long as she can use her size to her advantage in those moments, she should put together a Freshman year to remember.
