More Week 4 Standouts

In this article we look at various standouts around the State. Some prospects played lock down defense, some ruled the boards, some were playmakers and others shot the ball well in week number four.    [player_tooltip player_id='514527' first='Arianna' last='Walker'] was a beast on the floor with her ability to cover elite scorers. She was good at denying the pass and when her opponent had the ball she was good at cutting off angles to the rim. Walker plays an in your face defense that's predicated on pure speed. She plays the passing lanes well and gets deflections and interceptions with her quickness and anticipation. She advances the ball well in transition and is always looking to get her teammates involved in the play. Walker also uses her speed and quick first step to get to the rim. Walker is the designated stopper on defense , and has done a good job of embracing that role this season.       [player_tooltip player_id='678167' first='Olivia' last='Gamble'] is not the strongest player but she is exceptional at playing the passing lanes and getting the steal or deflection. Gamble also communicates well with teammates and is good on playing help-side defense. Early in the season, she posted 10 steals in one game and had 6 steals in another game. Gamble has good court vision, excellent timing, and active hands. She does a good job of leading her team's defensive effort.     [player_tooltip player_id='655816' first='Kylie' last='Johnson'] never quits on a play and she has the speed and ability to chase down guards and tip the ball to a teammate. Throughout the contest versus Mandarin, Johnson found herself diving on the floor for loose balls. Johnson showcased her ability to defend on the perimeter as well as battle inside the painted area. On offense, Johnson has taken on the roll of the primary ball handler and gets her team into the offense. She also leads the break and gets the ball to her teammates in transition.      [player_tooltip player_id='221613' first='Alyssa' last='Hallman'] has been shooting the daylights out of the ball and had back to back games of 25 and 28 points . Hallman has a versatile game and can score on the inside as well as on the perimeter. In her 28 point explosion, the Junior guard connected on 5 three pointers. At 6'0 the guard does a great job of hitting the boards. For the season Hall is averaging over 8 rebounds per game. Hallman runs the floor well and looks to get to her spots behind the arc. She does have the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim or stop and pull up for the short midrange.     [player_tooltip player_id='722918' first='Kasey' last='Davey'] (cover) stood out this week with outstanding play. Earlier in week four, Davey put up 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Davey loves to get to the rim and can do some from the offensive sets or score in transition. Davey has a high basketball IQ and knows how to get open and present herself to the passer. Davey makes excellent cuts to the basket and does a good job of getting open for the pass. Davey hits the boards also, averaging nearly 7 rebounds per game. Davey has an all around game and can shoot from the perimeter as well     [player_tooltip player_id='1039036' first='Victoria' last='Noble'] had the three ball cooking enroute to a 15 point - four three point breakout performance . Noble has been one of the top three point shooters on the First Coast since her Freshman season. Nobles is 19 threes away from 100 and is poised to reach that milestone sometimes this season. Noble also assists with ball handling duties
